So the neighbors have complained about me leaving p-mail on their lawns, mailboxes, flower beds, rocks, flags, and well everything.  So I don't hop through the neighborhood anymore because I just can't help myself and go to all the local parks instead.  Sometimes, we just don't have that much time to spend an hour or more taking me to a park.  So my human has this idea of making me a P-Mail Garden.  We live on an acre, partially wooded.  The idea is to get garage sale signs, wooden stakes with streamers, old political campaign signs, orange cones, plastic toys, yard flags, and fake flowers for me to mark.  A fire hydrant or boulder might be nice too.

Does anyone know of any spray on attractants that work?  Otherwise, it means my garden gets to go to my old daycare center for everyone there to enjoy first before it comes home.

Grrrr...those neighbors are m e an! Sweet senior trilawd Nixon....how could ANYONE be upset with him!! I would be HONORED to have such a gentle magnificent soul pee on my mailbox!!

I LOVE YOUR IDEA!!!! An adorable and very creative solution!! And I love the idea of taking these things to doggy day care to be peed on!!! GENUIS all the way around!! Don't know of any spray to attract pee, other than perhaps tying puppy training pee pads to these things. They come "pre-scented".

Cannot wait to see pictures!!!!!

Love!!!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

PS. Guess these neighbors shoot hummingbirds out of the sky because they might pee on their yard!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

I don't know how attractive they would be to dogs, but I know that hunters have all kinds of spray on scents for their forays into the wild. You might check out a sporting goods store and see if they have anything that sounds possible.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Forgot one other thing. When Murphy was a puppy, we bought one of those Pee Post things in hopes of training him to go in one corner of the yard. He dug it ip and chewed it. Of course, he dug everything up and chewed it, including the underground sprinkler system!

Great story about Murphy, Kathi!

Seems like when Maggie was a puppy I bought something at the Pet Store that was a spray that you could mark a part of the yard with where you wanted your pup to go. It had pheromones in it that told the pup to 'go right here'.  I think it is the same stuff they scent puppy pads with.

But then, you asked for something that worked...

It didn't work for Maggie but pugs are notorious for being stubborn.

Good luck.

Walmart had lots of doe urine.  Not sure if I want to wrestle a buck in the backyard at night while he's looking for LOVE! TRUE LOVE!  winker  But I'm sure I could take him.

Well...tried twice to edit that blank post so it showed a grin. That's what it should be.

What a great idea! Don't dogs like to pee where another dog has? Would it help for another dog to be invited over to leave a scent?

I don't have a dog but have found males take a long time to walk because they seem to be leaving messages.

I like Kazann's idea.  Build your garden and invite some friends over to an initiation party.

We love you Nixon!!!! How could anyone get upset with you?  Well, we would let you pee on our mailbox too. What a great idea to set up his own p-mail garden. If you have some friends over, all it will take is one marking one thing and then they will all go around marking hahaha. I think its a great idea. I saw "pee post's" somewhere, like stakes with pheromones to help your dog use a particular spot in your yard, not sure if they work.
