Hi 👋 there ladies!

I finally managed to get my books written! I see your having as much trouble as I was! 😂 not really funny, but what do you do?! Ha!

Maybe it’s that Raskety Hacker causing issues... mad Tech guy may be saying a few nasty curses, while trying to clean that mess up I’m sure! Poor Buggar!  Good luck guys!

Okay....one more time!

PETRA!    Spike did a SPECTACULAR job!  I know you are so relieved and on so many levels!   I love that the Vet made a stress free environment for him.  Very thoughtful!   Thanks for taking time to chronicle all of his...er...adve tures for today.

Sally I am more than proud of my boys! Relief is a very small part of what we’re feeling tonight. We have hope that our boy can be with us for many years to come! I love him more in his old age and like I told him today, I haven’t told him that I love him a million times yet! He completely agrees!
As far as my book writing... I am just so grateful to Rusty for letting me interrupt his forum and make it all about Spikey! THANKS AGAIN RUSTY!!!

And miss all your emoji things!!  We love em! 🙂

I’m sure Tech Guy won’t like to hear this, but I just haven’t had the bloody time to put them in! 😂 laughingwinker

Luv Ya!

Petra and gang. heart

Good morning Jackie

Thank you my daring, I feel a whole bunch better this morning. Spike and I cuddled up together all night and had a purrrrrfectly good sleep!

Yes, Dr. Laurie does suspect that is is the herpes conjunctivitis still. She said that it can be in his system for years and then decide to come to the surface? I have always had to clean small amounts of gooo out of his eye, but I always assumed it was a normal thing for us all? Everything else in his blood work check came up pretty much the same as last time, no major changes in his levels that she said we should be worried about. He is going to continue with the drops and I have some ointment for him. I also started him on the I-Lysene on Monday. I read that there is no proof that I-Lysene helps, but that there is no harm in trying it? Have you had much experience with Herpes Conjunctivitis?

Chin rubs to my favorite Prince. I’m so relieved for him and that he has a much more content belly! ❤️❤️❤️

Gmorning!

I wouldn't bother.  Oscar was diagnosed with it when he was a baby.  I shoved medicine into him twice a day for three months! Doctor said that would clear it up,  it didn't.  I use a warm facelift and gently clean his eye when it starts getting runny.

Just like people,  that herpes virus can be in the system for decades and never show its ugly head until the immune system is compromised,  many times in people due to stress.  Once the infection is gone you will likely see it dissipate and he'll get teary eyed once in a while.  Warm face cloths work wonders😊

This herpes stuff seems more popular of late,  as long as his infection heals and he doesn't have glaucoma I wouldn't worry at all and I wouldn't bother with the L lysine.

Hugs❤

Hello again Jackie

Thanks for the update. I am kinda happy that you suggest going off the Lysene, he already is giving me the dirty looks for coming near him with ‘stuff’ in hand!

Dr. Laurie put die in his eye and said that his eye looks great! When the die started to come out his nose, she said that was also a good thing, because it meant that his ducts (?) were clear.

I have also used a warm face cloth in the past to wipe his eyes, I’m glad that I can continue with that. Thanks!

I will update with a picture a bit later.

Hugs and more cuddles to the Prince! And many more to you! ❤️❤️❤️

This evening, we are preparing for the great opening of the second floor for our Bunnyman. We have another set of pet stairs for the big bed upstairs. For the twin bed, we will do makeshift steps made of boxes we think. We don’t have many people stay in the twin bed room often. Photos and video to follow!

fingers crossed that he is ready!

😊

Rusty "The Bunnyman" adopted us in 2014.  Aug/Sept 2017, back left leg amputated (HSA cancer).  He remained cancer free over 900 days. Cancer returned as of emergency visit on day 931. 15 days later, he gained his wings 04/18/2020 due to congestive heart failure.  He will always watch over his fellow tripawds and their hoomins with Head Scritches and Sand Paper Kisses.
