When mommy is rehearsing and I want to participate, she brings the music to my level. 🎶 
We has our own little pawty this week. Tuesday was exactly 2 months since the nasty stuff was taken off my body in my leg and my new healthy life began. Yesterday marked 3 years since I adopted Mommy and Daddy. Yup! Week of celebration 🎉!
Me and Daddy were tuckered out! Mom left us sleeping ❤️ and rested somewhere else. Don’t feel sorry for her though. She got to watch her Hallmark Christmas movies all night long. Me, I kept inching closer and closer to daddy all night. When mom came in in the morning I was up on the top part of the bed, leaning against him, with my head on the pillows. As it should be. It was an awesome end to a great day.
I hope all of my other tripod friends are doing well. Every time I hear a bell, I think of Stewie. And there’s lots of bells in mom’s movies! Mom told me about Prince Huck! Aren’t those head butts wonderful Hucklebery? You do that enough and your humans will give you anything you want. Take it from me. I know. 😺

Rusty "The Bunnyman" adopted us in 2014. Aug/Sept 2017, back left leg amputated (HSA cancer). He remained cancer free over 900 days. Cancer returned as of emergency visit on day 931. 15 days later, he gained his wings 04/18/2020 due to congestive heart failure. He will always watch over his fellow tripawds and their hoomins with Head Scritches and Sand Paper Kisses.

Happy 3 years anniversary of your wonderful deserved life. You are so blessed to have such mushy parents... Huck is starting to feel the same way. Don't tell anyone, but he sat on the couch with mom and dad last night 
His hooman brother told mama not to let anybody see him in the windows cuz his feral brothers would tease him out of jealousy 🤤

Maybe you need to get your pawrents a bigger bed for Christmas?! Mums only got so many movies that she can watch! How wonderful that your Mum gives up her side of the bed for you!!! Isn’t that the best thing about being a Tripawd, getting spoilt rawten every day!!

My question for you... for those whose amputations were because of cancer rather than injury, do you still give your furbabies vaccines?
We no longer vaccinate Purrkins or his brother Saxton.
If it were me I would not vaccinate Rusty again. Just my opinion if your concerned you can always do titers.
Rusty is indoor only and not in contact with other kitties outside, no way would I vaccinate.
Vaccines have been shown to last longer then one and three years. We all have to go by each cat and circumstances & lifestyle. If your on the site for any amount of time you will see we have far too many cases of VAS ! I believe we have more cases we just don’t see them!

Rusty recheck is Tuesday 8:30am EST. We have decided to talk to the vet about forgoing the vaccines going forward.

I think that's a great idea! I can't see why your vet wouldn't understand. I really think that's the right thing to do for your baby.

Yeah I agree, talk to your vet about skipping the vaccines. The new American Animal Hospital Association Vaccination Guidelines have an explicit section about the value of titering for immunocompromised animals. Been meaning to write about it, in the meantime you should read Dr. Nancy Kay's blog post:

If for some CRAZY reason they don’t understand you leave and find someone who does. We had to go thru many vets to get to one that understood NO on vaccines. That was before Purrkins got cancer & we did find one! They are out there!
You guys are the boss with Rusty don’t forget that😉
