I would like to share my expereinces of feline acupunture and I want other cat owners to know that acupunture could be an option to comfort your cat.

I have two cats have experienced the needles.

The first one was Miri.  Miri was also Dr. Deena Leong's first feline customer of acupunture.  Miri was a FIV+ and was sufferred from complications of FIV in her early age.  Usually FIV shows no symptoms until cat reasch certain age.  For example Schaefer, one of my cats, he is FIV+ too but he eat well, drink well and act like a normal cat.  Schaefer is about 9 years old or order.

Miri had skin issue (not fungus) caused by severe allergy (both environment and food accoring to lab works), got fever easily and slept almost 24 hours. Her shelter put her on Atopica, not help, and the most important was she so hated it.  After adtoption, my vet put her on pred (low dose) and B-12.  Pred did help but also surpressed her immue system.  So, i searched for holistic vet then got her acupunture.  Acupunture did help a lot, she then off pred and her coat was smooth.  Miri was ok with the needles but i needed to slightly circle her in my arms.  One or two of the needles would drop during section.  I just simply picked up then put it aside.  Miri was crossed due to an aggressive lymphoma on 1/19/2020.

Pixie is the 2nd one of my cats to have needles.  Pixie right-hind leg got amputated on 1/6/2020 due to osteosarcoma then started her chemo journery, two IV chemo and currently on Pallaida.  In order to reduce the discomfort (i assumed) from the surgery and chemo, I took her to Dr. Leong for a try.  Surprisingly, she tolerates the needles so good (i would say that she is enjoy it) and no needs of hand controls.  does the acupunture help her?  i don't know because the cancer is not curable but prevent spreads or slow down the spread through medical treatments.  However,  as long as she is enjoy the "spa", i would take her to acupunture.

Here are one picture and one video.

Dr. Leong's clinic is Tustin Care Animal Hospital in Tustin California.
