Dr. Erin Struble, an associate veterinarian at Newport News Banfield Pet Hospital (inside Petsmart), is amazing! After bouncing around to different vets (four in the last week), I was getting absolutely nowhere and becoming increasingly concerned I might have to consider euthanasia for my dog Astrid. I didn't have a lot of hope left when I went to see Dr. Struble (over an hour away), but this visit was everything I needed! She was incredibly kind, very observant and, in my opinion, far more knowledgeable than the other vets I had seen; literally three minutes within our meeting, she noticed an issue with Astrid that had gone completely unnoticed by all the other vets (I don't want to say the other vets didn't seem to care as much, but her concern and consideration for Astrid was on another level)! She was incredibly sympathetic and understanding of my financial situation and provided a range of options to begin treatment immediately and what could be done down the road. Where other vets in the Richmond area had given me only a few moments of their time, Dr. Struble worked with me for over an hour to go over every possible option from pain relief to surgery and amputation. It may be a drive for me, but Newport News Banfield will be my exclusive vet office for Astrid, and I will be requesting Dr. Struble any time I can!

(I've been there before for a couple routine exams and dental cleanings; all their staff are very polite, helpful and professional. Have seen similar incredible service from Dr. Matthew Kelcourse and Dr. Alisson Wheeler!)
