I wanted to post here about the absolutely excellent team that Dieter has had here in Tucson, AZ. All of his caregivers are associated with the Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center. They have two locations in town; one on the east side and one one the west side. Dieter has been to both locations.
Dr. Singer performed his surgery, and he is a straight shooter and very competent and professional. He is very good at what he does and takes his job seriously. It was easy for me to trust him because of these qualities.
Dr. Ehling is Dieter's oncologist, and she is wonderful. She is board certified in radiology and is working on her board certification in oncology with Dr. Kline. I think she is nearly finished, but am not positive. She is wonderful. She has a great way with both humans and dogs -- Dieter loves her. She has a great "bedside manner" and is very knowledgeable and dedicated to her work. She sat with Dieter the whole time during his first chemo infusion, just petting him and talking to him. She has been very proactive about giving me information and has been responsive to my questions. I never feel rushed in the office, and again, she has engendered my trust (tough to do, actually).
The support staff is also wonderful, and I'd like to give a special shout-out to both Tara (liaison) and Kyle (oncology vet tech).
Highly recommended team!
Thanks for sharing!
