I have recently adopted an xlarge dog that came to the shelter with a badly infected back leg. they amputated only the infected portion to save his life. after several months of no one adopting him he was placed on the euthanasia list. He has such an incredible soul. I took him home! he is scheduled for the rest of the leg to be removed next week. He is such a large dog that I think he would benefit from  a harness to assist him in walking to take the added pressure off his other legs. He is in so much pain waiting for the surgery but we are trying to control it with pain meds. He is being limited to no activity except potty time. I have a small memory foam bed but he is too large for that too. if anyone has one of those as well I could use it with him. thanks in advance for any help you can give him.

Hopefully someone will have some gear for you. Do start a new topic in "SIze and Age Matters" so we can learn about you two. Thanks again.

How large is XL? I have a harness that is size large. It fits a girth from 32-42 inches. Has 4 handles to help hoist them up. It was sent to me by another member through the exchange for my boy, but his cancer took him before it arrived. If interested, msg. Me with shipping info.

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Thank you for that reminder about measuring for girth size. That's so sweet to offer the harness, thank you.
