Hi,

Charley is a 3 year old chocolate lab.  He had his L front leg amputated on 10-28-10 (osteosarcoma).  He went swimming for the 1st time ever last weekend and loved it.  For a lab that won;t even sit in his plastic baby pool, I was shocked and had tears in my eyes watching him conquer his fear by himself.  We would like a life vest/flotation device for him so we don't have to worry so much if he gets fatigued when swimming.

Hugs and chocolate kisses,

Ellen & Charley 🙂

So happy your boy loves to swim. My Sammy loves the water too....I think he was a seal in a prior life. I have an extra swim coat we would be happy to provide for Charley. It's a ruff wear big eddy in a large and only been used once. He used the ruff Wear Portgage at a hydro therapy session and we found it fit him much better so we ended up buying that one too. We def don't need both....especially considering he ran into the water last trip and wouldn't wait for us to even put a float coat on! I'll also send a pm so I can get your info.

Very nice offer Sue!!  I hope the new coat allows Charlie to continue to conquer his swimming fears.

Let us know (with another post) when the deal is done so we can change the title of the post from WANTED to FOUND.

It's a done deal!  Sue put it in the mail this morning and Charley is anxiously awaiting the arrival so he can go swimming.

I'm a newbie here and this IS an awesome community!

Hugs and chocolate kisses,

Ellen & Charley laughing
