I posted this last night, but don't see it. Sorry for the double post if I'm missing something....
I gave a lot of thought to the different harnesses and have decided Raven could really use the Ruffwear harness for me to help him get around. And, as I know you all completely understand, with the vet bills (along with bulldog Betty's spleenectomy last month) and a cut in hours at work recently, I am hoping someone has one to offer. I just ordered his Dogleggs for his elbow ulcer and just can't afford both right now.
He measures 37" around his chest/girth. On the chart, that says he'd wear a Large. But the Medium goes up to 36", so I'm wondering if that is what he should get for a snugger fit?
Thank you,
Dawn

Jacki was so gracious to share Mac's harness with Emily and if a medium woud fit Raven than Mac and Emily would both be honored to have him wear it. What do people think? Would a medium work? If so Raven could cerainly have it.
Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
It can't hurt to try the medium if Emilysmom is generous enough to send it to you. If it doesn't fit, then you know you need to purchase a large.
Ruff Wear suggests, however, that dogs falling in between sizes should go for the smaller size for a more active fit. And with the large suggested for dogs measuring 32" - 48" I would think Raven is clearly a large. At 37" the medium may be snug and you would have nothing left of the strap lengths to let out. Whereas, with the large, you can always tighten the straps. Once certain it fits, and works, you could then cut the straps. Though doing so would void the product warranty and you would be unable to return it if ever necessary.
Hope this helps...

Tasha is a rottweiler as well, she is big girl, I can't remember her girth, think it was 36 , we got her a medium and it fits her good, even a tiny bit of room for adjustment.
Tasha 8 years old, First cancer diagnosis 6/26/09, Last cancer diagnosis 9/26/09, Amputation 10/01/09, Loving our girl moment by moment.
Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….
Thank you everyone! Debra, tears in my coffee... The thought that it was Emily's and you and her were an inspiration to me in the most difficult first few days, it is so sad, but has so much more meaning to me. A gift from sweet Emily.
I think it's worth a shot with the Medium. If it doesn't work and is too small, I'll put it on the Angel Exchange for someone else. 🙂 As a matter of fact, I had already decided that after Raven is gone (hopefully not for several years!) that his harness and Dogleggs elbow pad will both go on the Angel Exchange.
THANK YOU so very, very much. I can't wait to post pictures of Raven with it. 🙂

Dawn,
I got your PM and will be glad to send it. I pray Raven is the last dog to be able to use it. This is in memory of our dear Mac and Emily.
