WOW! Another informative program

On occasion, we still see vets who prescribe very little in the way of pain meds for dogs recovering from amputation surgery. We have someone on the site right now who was only given Tramadol and he wants the dog (medium/large size) off it by day six!

Sooo, just curious. What aplroach does Dr. Petty think this member should take with her vet to ensure the dog has ample pain meds on hand. I think she’s “mentioned” once if she should keep the dog on pain meds a bit longer and he basically dismissed the idea.

THANK. YOU!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Bravo Michelle! You will find this really fascinating and so valuable. Every dog parent needs a copy.
