Oh Teri... that would be so awesome! Good to know about Kayak dropping prices ... I'm still searching too (I have an app called "Hopper" on my phone). Tells me I have about another week. I'm about finalized w/flights and times though. Well considering I get to drive the international peeps ... I know I'll at least be in DC by 5 pm on the 26th! laughing

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

We've been convinced we need to be there. I had no idea how many people were making the trip and being able to meet all you in person sounds absolutely delightful.

I'm not totally sure what to do with Jack - as you might have gathered from my posts, she's reactive and a bit scared of other dogs if they try to sniff her. If we bring a large outdoor crate and pen, do you think it would be possible to keep her separated from the other dogs and feeling safe?

From what i heard there would be a way.  I will defer that question to Sally since I haven't ever been 🙂

Hope you are able to make it.

Okay, we can see. She can always stay with her grandpawrents in DC for the day if it seems tough (I'm not sure how much fun she'd have).

I think Elizabeth is bringing a pen for her dog that has issues with others. I know Jasper will have her airline carrier with her for "time outs'. So I think Jack would be fine if she were to come or if she is happier at the grandparents.. that totally works too! I know I'll have to keep Jasper from going full on bat crazy. Also, if the park isn't enclosed, Jasper will be on her leash the whole time and thus - tied to me!

HOOOOOOOOLY MOOOOOOOOLY!!!!! TERI's COMING!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
And you can bet sweet Isa's energy will be felt!! Oh yes!!! She will be with us!!! Bring pictures!!!!

HOOOOOOOOLY MOOOOOOOOLY!!!!! SARA's COMING!!!! And she's brining DC Jack!!!!!!

Yes, the little shelter at Rockwood Park would have a spot for a pen right next to the covered part. Or even up on the covered deck part for thst matter. The dog park part is obviously fenced, but not the shelter area.

And you can bet we'll all have our pups tightly leashed when not in the dog park!. The park has a smaller fenced area for "smaller dogs" and that's the one we TOOK OVER a couple of years ago. That's what I'm hoping for this hear too. Some dogs were able to be off leash and some stayed leash.

And we'll have plenty of DOG MONITORS (those who didn't bring dogs) to help look after all the dogs and keep things peaceful!

And WISCONSIN CHEESE as treats for pups!!!

OOOOOOOOOMMMDDDDDDDDDDD....THIS IS SOOOOO EXCITING.! 🙂 🙂

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Okay...here are two hotels to check out that are both close to Rockwood Park and in "safe" areas.

HAMPTON INN. 3620 Price Club Blvd Midlothian Va 1 855 605 0317
(Easily within ten minutes)

HAMPTON INN 800 Research Rd. Midlothian Va. 1 855 0317
I believe this one is DOG friendly
(Within 15 minutes)

I think Elizabeth said she would help with transportation from Richmond airport too.

MONA! We'll get plenty of embarrassing dog photos for you! 🙂

We can see who will be spending which night and maybe do some shared room stuff

Oh WOW Teri's coming and maybe DC Jack too!!  Teri make sure you bring a picture of beautiful Isa for our tribute table for all our Angels and Tripawds that couldn't make the trip.  This is setting up to be one EPIC get-together.  Once everyone books hotels and times coming in booked we'll have to coordinate "rides" from airport and such stuff so everyone knows what is going on with each other. 😀

YES ... everyone who has an "ANGEL" please bring a photo so we can have a place for them (aka a shrine of honoring ) and take a moment to thank our angels for bringing us all together and creating some of the best friendships that will last a lifetime.

And Tina... Jasper will happily allow anyone to "monitor" and cuddle. She likes to snuggle on laps when she's had enough. She's taken to a lovely man that comes to the northern CA parties ... see below... and then she is less of the "fun police" (aka known as barky barkysaurus).
