Hey everypawdy, so far it looks like this could be our schedule:
Washington: 11/1 - 11/8
Meet up on 11/8 at the 2Million Dogs walk in Auburn?
Oregon: 11/9 - 11/14
Meet up in Portland area on Saturday 11/13?
Northern CA: 11/15 - 11/28
Meet up in either Mill Valley or East Bay on Saturday 11/20?
We are also thinking of a casual Central CA meet up on Thanksgiving weekend if anyone can make it.
Southern CA: 12/1 onward
Potential dates for this are Sunday 1/2 but we are free the weekend of the 18th too.
Geez, can you believe we're already making plans for December? I sure can't! But we are really looking forward to this!

Yea! I think that will be right around Sammy's 3rd chemo appt. so I don't know how active he will be but it hasn't been scheduled yet so just like you guys we will see when the time gets closer. The good side of that is Dr. Pam is his doctor, so if you are down that way even if we can't do the walk we could try to get over to see you anyway.
Looking forward to meeting the precocious Wyatt, and his wonderful family,

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Totally! We'd be open to a quiet visit too if he's not up to pawtying (although "quiet" and "Wyatt Ray " don't exactly go together!)

I will keep the weekend of the 20th open- can do Mill Valley or the East Bay. I've been looking for a good spot closer to my house for meet ups (we do a Livermore thing once in awhile), but most of the parks I have looked at are a long haul for tripawds (and little pug legs).
What do you mean by Central CA? Just wondering since I lived a time in the real Northern CA I consider where I am now Central CA .
Karen
That's funny Karen! Central CA as in Modesto and Fresno, that area.

Well then I am definetly screwed up when it comes to delineating between So Cal, Central Cal and Nor Cal! Growing up in the LA area I thought of that as So Cal, going to school in Santa Barbara I thought of that as lower Central Cal (which some people still think of as So Cal...)and now going to school in Moss Landing I think of that as upper Central Cal/lower Nor Cal.
Guess we all think of California differently based on our points of reference ie. where we lived!
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Saturday, November 13th in Portland, Oregon. It is on my calendar and it is happening! I'm going to post a couple flyers at local pet stores announcing a Tripawd Pawty to see if any other local tripawds who don't know about the community will come out of the wood work. Rumor has it there are others in town, but Indi and I have not met any of them yet. Let's keep in touch. I'm on board for helping to plan this day and make it one of the best Tripawd Pawties ever!
Indi the Saint Bernard mix had her front left leg amputated on August 31, 2010. She crossed over the rainbow bridge on December 17, 2010, because of a spinal injury, not related to cancer.

Thanks so much! Here's a party flier template that Gerry's Mom made, if you want to use this. Or, feel free to make your own and we'll put it on the Downloads blog too.

Snow? Haven't seen any of that up north yet. Maybe you should come to Winnipeg to escape that nasty winter weather!
If you end up in the Santa Barbara area around xmas, maybe the day or two or three afterward, let me know. Would be great to visit with Wyatt and Chloe and anyone else in the vicinity, although it sounds like you might be thinking of a party farther south yet.
We're planning on Dec 19th in LA! We all staying with Kami (Mackenzie's mom) and bringing our swim suits so we can have a keg party at her pool!
Anyone wanna come? - I'll give you Kami's address!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Keg? Pool? We are so there!

HaHa Cometdog....I'll get you my pretty!!
Jim and Rene, like Comet said we were planning on Sunday Dec 19th. Do you know where you'll be staying in LA yet or when you will be heading out? Cause that will determine where we end up meeting. There are a couple of options. And yes, if we end up holding this at my house (which might be a possibility depending on where everyone is coming from), keg party it is! Thanks to Comet - she said she'd foot the pawty bill - whoo hoo!!
We also might be seeing Etta's Mom Julie and Sara which would be great. We hope that more people can come too.
Looking forward to the first annual LA Tripawd Party
Kami
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
The 19th would be fine. We are going to be in L.A. (San Gabriel Valley) until New Years, so whatever works for y'all!
Thanks for the kegger Comet! Can we get a champagne fountain for the girly girls?

Oh no problem…champagne fountain it is (and we'll throw in a chocolate fountain too) I know Comet is willing to foot the bill for both!
We'll get back to you on the plans .
