I used to LIVE in Puyallup (now I have to look to see how to spell it!!)  It is a trial to get people to pronounce it right...my mom still can't!!!

I am really excited and now writing it in big red non erasable pen on the November page of the calendar!!!  Since I do not plan on putting up Christmas decos this year (may get a small teeny fiber optic tree)...not with Whiskey and Casper, I have too many precious ornaments that would be in pieces...I will have lots of time!!!  I hope....

Hope you like liquid sunshine smiley

My pawrents used to live in Humboldt County CA. Now they live in CO because Mom got so tired of the liquid sunshine! But for you, we will put on our Gore-Tex and prepare to pawty!

Let us know when you will be here!  So excited to meet you!

Same here James, we are so hoppy to come to your neck of the rainy woods!

We can't wait to pawty in Portland! Indi and I would love to host you however we can. I know you have the RV, and we are moving to a small space, but we can show you the hip dog parks, bars, and restaurants. I'd love to have an official Tripawd Party here, too. It would be great to get some tripawds adn pawrents to meet at a great park for an hour or so then have dinner at The Lucky Lab Brewery. We'll be in touch!cool

Indi the Saint Bernard mix had her front left leg amputated on August 31, 2010. She crossed over the rainbow bridge on December 17, 2010, because of a spinal injury, not related to cancer.

May I make a suggestion for the LA So Cal meet-up?  In El Segundo (where my parents live) there is an RV park along the beach called Dockweiller Beach.  You can visit the Dockweiler RV Park page for info on rates and facilities.  Pretty much full hook-up options, plus showers and bathrooms nearby. Plus if you stake out a place in the sand early enough, you can have a bonfire on the beach!

And as it so conveniently happens, El Segundo is pretty much right between where Mackenzie and Maximutt live! Its about 45 mi from each place. I know this because after doing their custom shirts, I know where they live big-blink.  I have no idea what other Tripawds live near LA and I am not sure how far pawrents want to drive, but this seems like a good compromise…  Maybe we can have a BBQ as the tripawd meet-up for LA So Cal? There is free street parking for visitors!  Since I would be close I would love to bring some food for everyone!

There is the El Segundo Dog Park not 0.5 mi away from the Dockweiler RV park where the dogs can run free!  Mostly dirt now since dogs have torn up the beautiful lawns that used to be there…They have a small dog park and big dog park. Both have fountains and bins for disposing doggie doo.  I only suggest this since Dockweiler Beach does not allow dogs.  At your RV site it is fine since the RV park allows pets!

Anyway, I know you guys don't have concrete plans for So Cal, but I just wanted to let you know that there was this option! I will be back in El Segundo by Dec 19th (semester over), but if you guys go before hand, have a great time!!!

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog

Lincoln and family are IN!! We may go the the Portland get together also, since that's where we are originally from, and still have lots of family there. So, first Puyallup (we know how to say it already, thank goodness), and then a little further south.

WE CAN'T WAIT. It's going to be so great to meet everyone.

Lincoln is not going to be able to sleep, he'll be so excited.

When you come to WA can you post it asap so I can request the day off work?  I've been wanting to meet up for 14 months.......Thanks! You betcha!

We can't wait to meet you too!

My pawrents have heard about that place, they'd love to check it out! We'll keep in mind those dates you'll be gone. Chances are we'll be there after the 1st.

Nicole, you are the pawty planner! That is a GREAT idea, thanks! We will bring the RV there but my Mom will keep her eyes closed when driving that way, because L.A. traffic scares her!

I will be back in El Segundo by Dec 19th (semester over),

You bet we'll keep that in mind. What if we had it between X-Mas and New Years, would that work for you?

You bet! I will be in El Segundo Dec 19th-mid January (5 week break), so between Xmas and new years is great! I think the rates change on holidays at the RV park so you might want to check that out.  Also might want to check into reservations on the earlier side to make sure you get a good spot! (max 90 days in advance) You have plenty of time to figure that out though cool

Hopefully Mackenzie's and Max's families will be around too!

P.S and as for "LA" traffic ie. the 405 fwy, best times of day are between 9am-1pm and after 7pm on weekdays and its just a toss up on the weekends...

For the Tripawd Party in So Cal, I will be making gluten free peanut butter gourmet dog cookies!!!!  Chloe is extremely picky about treats and since she actually likes them, I am sure they will be a hit for all the other tripawds! I would love to make doggie goodie bags for everyone who can make it, so please let me know the expected guest list at some point!  And yes Wyatt Ray that means you are going to get some too!!

If you are wondering what exactly is in these cookies it includes, gluten free all purpose flour, reduced fat chunky peanut butter, a bit of canola oil, water and Reeses Peanut Butter chips!  I was inspired by Indi's mom's grain free cookie recipe in another forum post and you can read about my baking adventure in Chloe's blog!  There are detailed instructions accompanied by pictures!

As a very recent tripawd we would love any opportunity to connect with other tripawds in the area.  I live in the east bay and would be able to do either the San Francisco or Stockton dates.  Keep us updated!

Also, if anyone is interested in meeting up between that time we would love an opportunity to have Scooter meet other tripawds in the Tri Valley area!

Oh yeaaaay! Yes, definitely keep an eye for a pawty before then, our NorCal members get together often. And you're neighbors with Spirit Tri-Pug Maggie's pack, they are in Livermore too and very active here (Maggie's Mom Karen is a Mod-Pawd moderator here).
Thanks for joining us, we look foward to meeting you!

Hey Scooter's pack!

Another tripawd in Livermore!  What kind of pup is Scooter?

I would love to meet up with you sometime- and maybe we can entice Cemil (BIG boy) and Mary to meet us too.

Maggie only travels with me as a spirit now, but I still have two pugs that need to get out and about. Send me a PM and maybe we could set something up soon!

Hey- W.R.D.- you know we are up for a bay area meet up- I'm laying low these days (limited typing ability)- but don't forget that Admin guy owes me a drink!!! (from when he put Mag in the header).
