Howldy Pahdnahs!

The Tripawds Gang is headed to the Hill Country in a couple of weeks, and we'd love to meet y'all.

We'll be in the Canyon Lake/New Braunfels/Gonzales area starting around 4/17. We have another event we have to be at the weekend of the 24th but other than that we're pretty free.

Any chance we can arrange a Tripawds meet up in the Hill Country within that time frame? What are your schedules like?

Oooh, we hope we can get together with ya! Let's start planning somethin!

Houston or Livingston are a better opportunity for us.

Ok guys, looks like we might be able to swing a get-together the weekend of 4/30, say on Saturday 5/1? Would that work for y'all? I'm thinking that we could meet somewhere on the very outskirts of Houston, since it's about equidistant for all of us. What do you think? Does that day work?

Yeay! We just heard from a friend "There is a large dog park on Hwy six North near Bear Creek. It's not far
from Interstate 10." I need to look it up though. What do you think?

We're planning to be there.   I'm thinking we can be there by 11 without any problem.  Are we going to picnic?  Snack?  Just visit?  We're thinking about bringing Duke for some socializaiton.  He may have to stay in the car or in his crate if he can't behave.what-ever

Oh yeay! As for picnicing, I don't see anything about a place to do that there at the dog park but it looks like across the street is a people park. We could bring some snacks and see how it goes.

So glad y'all will be there, this will be great!

I would really like to visit with you guys and meet the pups but I'm not sure Fortis would be up for the trip. I haven't ruled it out as of yet but it seems doubtful. We really have a good routine going at this time. I'm afraid the drive might be a bit much for Fortis.

Hey everypawdy who's attending this Saturday, can we exchange cell #s through the PM?

Last time a pawty happened, a few people got lost when trying to find the park (including yours truly!) and having an attendees phone number to call would've been really helpful!

If you don't mind sharing your # (promise not to sell it!), please let me know here and I'll PM a message out to everyone. Thanks!!!

It was awesome to meet and visit with Rene and Jim, Shanna and Bob and Wyatt, Trouble, Duke too of course! Layla, Ron and I (and Spirit Abbey) had a great time, (except for the Texas Redneck we encountered. Ha! People like him need to have a dose of love before they go to a public place!)

Have a safe trip back home to CO and thank you guys for spending some time with us. Your site encourages so many people facing a difficult season. I am soooo grateful to have had a safe place to express myself. Hearing from others going thru osteosarcoma made me realize the power of community and the strength it brings.

Yall are what Texans call good people and I pray blessings back to you.

Carry on!!

 love, di

It was a great time, indeed.  I've never been disappointed to meet an 'internet' friend.  They are always the greatest and Tripawd friends are even a step above.  Thank you guys for accepting Duke.  Continuing to socialize him is part of his ongoing training.  We brought him fully expecting to have to keep him in the vehicle, so the fact that he interacted with others for 2 hours was a huge success for him.

As far as Texas Rednecks go, as long as we're in Texas, we are going to have to put up with them.

Di, if you & Ron are ever our way, please give a shout, we can at least grab a cup of coffee somewhere.
