Well, we finally got together a small contingent of Michigan Tripawds for a pawty today, in Grand Rapids, MI.  A "Trifecta of Tripawds" gathered to meet and greet.... Rocky, Boo, and the Queen herself, Nova.  It was cool and breezy, but at least it didn't rain. If it had, diva Nova would have never set foot outside of her private coach. There are lots of pictures, but you'll have to visit her blog to see them... for some reason it's a pain in the butt to post them on the forum.

Now THAT is a pawty!

Thanks y'all for getting together despite crappy weather and busy schedules. What an amazing thing to know that Tripawds halfway across the country met up to share stories and celebrate life on three legs. It makes our hearts so hoppy!

Thanks for posting these, Comet. What's going on when you try to post, Sue?

Oh, that looks like so much fun!  I told Sadie about it, she wanted to know what you had for lunch big-blink  Can't wait until we get a chance to go to a tripawd pawty!

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

It looks like you guys had so much fun!  Madison can't wait to join you next time.  I am glad the weather held, it was so windy I was afraid you all would blow away!

Madison: Boo looked like she was blowing in the wind when she was running! Can't wait to meet you net time. Sadie: We didn't have anything to eat, it was a casual party.  Actually, my Mom brought some duck jerky sticks in the car but forgot to get them out of the car when we were there.  Next time we'll bring beef trachea... one of my favorite snacks.

The party was great fun!! It was so nice seeing all of these large dogs getting around so well and I am still amazed by Nova. Rocky never looked small until yesterday. laugh

Nova is so special and does so well that you would never know she's blind. She just goes where she pleases as long as she can hear her mom near by. And her sister Emmy is just a calm, cool sweetheart of a dog too.

You have to feel Boo to understand how soft she is - just like rabbit fur. And faster than a speeding bullet for sure.

I think it will take Rocky a day or so to recover from all of the fun. He actually laid down on the ride home (for the first time in 10 years). He was and still is pooped. But it was well worth it, he had such a good time.

I can't wait until the next time when Madison can join us.

Looks like too much fun!  Nova is looking fantastic, just makes my heart soar!

I'd like to travel around the country making all the tripawd pawties.  Wouldn't that be fun!

Looks like a real PAWTY!  I love seeing the pictures!  PAWSOME!

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Gerry says:

Holly!  They are in serious need of some rear-leggers at their pawties.  Any chance we can get our pawrents to get us all together somewhere?

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
