Great! That works for me - hangover and everything! Later in the day would be great (early afternoon perhaps?) I'll also find out from Nicole and Julie if that works for them too.
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
I doubt the Comet's will be hung over but stooopid New Year's in Vegas and in retail would be too hard to get away. But I'm not actually saying no just yet! The red party hats are getting antsy to be worn!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
All I can say is "pooperscooper." I couldn't even be there and I'm crushed that the pawty was cancelled. I was SO looking forward to the vicarious experience through all the great pictures I know would have been taken if it hadn't ... RAINED.
Catie -
Birthday – November 4 2003
Amputation – January 13 2010
Crossed the Bridge – June 2 2011
Don't give up on the vicarious thrills yet. I think we're on for New Year's Day. And Comet – I know Vegas isn't the kind of town that shuts down for the holidays, but surely it could live without you on the day everyone's hung over anyway? You'd have more time to drive, since the consensus seems to be to knock it back a few hours until the afternoon (I'm thinking maybe 1:00)?
And Admin – since it looks like this is happening, maybe we could take the word "canceled" out of the title and change it to "rescheduled"?
Looks like the Mod Pawd beat me to it!
1/1/11 ... should be a good time for all, even if Comet does have to work.

Hope you can make it Cometdog! 1:00 sounds perfect! Hey 1/1/11 at 1. How coincidental is that?

Oh the good old days, when the pharmacy was closed on all the major holidays.....however, NOT ANYMORE I'm lucky to have Christmas Day off. Oh, and while I'm ranting... "Oh, the good old days, when the boss got the good days off and made "other people" work on the holidays" Anyway, I digress....I really hope you all have a great time (make sure to post picures of the hangover faces....people and dogs)
If you end up in Arizona and have a pawty on some non-descript weeken in say, Feburary, perhaps a road trip will be in order (Comet, you with me?)
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Sorry you have to work! But think of that overtime!
Yes, we are definitely going to be in AZ, we want to meet up with you, Comet and Tasha (lives near Quartzsite). Will keep you posted!

All of our Tripawd hearts broke into pieces today after hearing about Mackenzie.
Out of respect for our beautiful beach girl, we are canceling the pawty on Saturday. This would have been our opportunity to pawty with her in pawson near her home in L.A.. Now, that pawty will have to wait for some day far in the future.
Mackenzie will be tremendously missed. Rest in peace sweet girl.
