...as soon as I figure out how to post these pictures I will.
You can upload them to Mackenzie's blog then follow these instructions for embedding photos in forum posts.
Basically; copy the image file location from your media library, use the insert image button (small tree) in your forum post, past the location into the image url field. But don't, I bet we'll all find each other ... we'll be the ones with all the crazy three legged dogs!
See ya there!

Thanks Jerry/Admn - I finally figured it out. These pictures are taken from inside the fence. The first one is by the entrance and the 2nd one shows the picnic table on the right. I know it's hard to tell the location of this but it will be easy once you're in the parking lot. I also have some good news – Etta's Moms (Julie and Sara) will be joining us too!
Oh and by the way - this is what the park looks like when it's dry :).
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Thanks! See ya there everyone... be sure to bring your umbrellas.

FYI: Mother Nature wins this time, but she better remember that Tripawds will always rule.
This event is officially canceled due to heavy rain that's falling now, through the weekend. It's predicted to be the biggest storm in 10 years. As much as Tripawds love excitement, we're going to cancel this event due to freeway flooding and landslides that are in the forecast.
When the L.A. gathering is rescheduled we'll let everypawdy know of course.
This is such a bummer.

So, it turns out that Mother Nature is a Monkeydawg after all! Well, just wait and see...Tripawds will prevail! The red party hats are on standby! It'll be the best pawty ever (whenever it is!) Since I haven't determined yet if Ranger can swim, we decided yesterday not to make the trip, but we're really looking forward to next time!
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

My mom wouldn't let us go! You know moms!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Before everyone gives up completely, let me throw a few ideas out there. First, the possibility of an alternate site. I'm at work today and have access to our weather equipment here at the station. It's a light mist at best here in Orange County, while Los Angeles is taking it in the shorts. We have some locations down here in O.C. that would work, and if anyone wants to move a little further south for the party, I'll figure out a good place for it. The weather looks like it'll remain the same for tomorrow - heavy rain in the L.A. area, but much lighter down here at the southern edge of the storm.
Idea #2 would be for us to meet somewhere dog-friendly for lunch. If any of the L.A. crew know of somewhere with a covered patio that's dog-friendly, we could meet for lunch. Only problem I can see with that is controlling all our mutts, who might not want to lay there calmly at their first meeting.
And finally, we could rescedule in a couple of weeks. I know Jim and Rene are heading out of town soon, but will they be here until the new year? I'm thinking Sunday January 2 would work.
Awwwww, c'mon.......whats a little rain and mud to the most pawesome Tripawds Crew?????

Is that some kind of swampy dog-a-gator?
Hey, what do you guys think of a meet up on 1/2? Everyone should be good and hung over then, and in all my years of being in LA or Xmas, I've never seen it rain on New Year's weekend!

Wanted to let everyone know that my husband and I went to a holiday party in Newport Beach last night and drove back this morning. It was awful! The rain is just pouring down in buckets. I'm so glad we're home now. On Jan 2nd I am leaving for Hong Kong for 2 weeks for work so not sure I can make this. Would you all be available between Christmas and New Year's as I have this week off. But understand if Jan 2 is the only date.

Well.....there's always New Year's Day. We (Jim and I) would have to arrange to get a car though (long story). Can anyone else make it on 1/1 or will y'all be nursing a hair o' the dawg?!

We can be there on Jan. 01. That has some advantages as well. There won't be much traffic around L.A. on a holiday weekend (if you avoid the Pasadena/Rose Parade area, but that's way off from where we'll be). As long as the gates to the dog park will be open, I think it's a fine idea. Count us in.
Wooo hooo!
We have a hangover breakfast with the family that we can't miss, so can we make it a little later in the day?
