We are gonna PAWTY this Saturday at the Mill Valley Dog Pawty Park.
We'll meet at 11:30 and celebrate all things dogs and all things TRIPAWD. It's been a long, hard month, let's get together and have some laughs and giggles as we watch Cemil and Maggie cruisin the park makin friends and Shelby will be adding to her collection of tennis balls and taste testing all treats to make sure they are
mmm-mmm good!
Supposed to be a chance of light showers on Friday and clear all weekend.
It will be good to see old friends and hopefully meet some new friends!!!
Don't miss it, we gonna have a GOOOOOD time! See Ya!!!
Mom and Dad will not be attending this gathering since return from their Maui trip on Saturday. However, they will be thinking of all of you. They also will be very glad to get back to a decent internet connection. Dad is afraid of all that he has missed within this community.
Hope that Maggie will continue to improve and Mom and Dad will try to attend next month - or are we going to meet in Elk Grove?
Big Hugs to All,
Spirit Cherry
My senior bulldog Betty and I are camping with my neighbor this Saturday in Napa. We will be close, but not close enough, dang. Raenel loved Raven too and we both miss him together, so we thought it will be nice to get away for the night in my little vintage RV, Bessie The Traveling Egg. I haven't been since Raven and I went camping a week before his trip to the ER. Even though we broke down and had to be towed home, it was a Very Happy Memory. Will be sort of sad without him, but I need to get away from here...
Are there any neat campgrounds near Mill Valley? On the coast?
Betty has mobility issues, had her spleen and eye removed and many mamary tumors. She has a stroller for hikes. We'll fit right in...

Rottie Raven, osteosarcoma at 8-1/2 years old, amputation in October '09 and in February '10 due to liver mets he went back to heaven where he came from. raven.tripawds.com
Now I have Miles, rottie mix amputee from a shelter and traveled 1500 miles to find his way here through the Rescue Railroad thanks to tripawds.com. miles.tripawds.com
Oh Dawn, these photos are great. Betty is awesome! What a neat looking trailer you have!
I think there are campgrounds in Pt. Reyes? Isn't there Anderson Woods or something like that in the area? Not exactly close to Mill Valley but in the vicnity.

Let's see what happens Friday. I'm okay with making a decision Friday night.
Or, if you know of a covered, dog-friendly place about the same distance for all of us, we could have a change of venue. Any ideas?

Love the pics of Betty! I'm glad to here you are getting out, Dawn.
Have fun at your pawty - pooches and pawrents!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Howdy, we've had rain most of the day and very heavy at times. I think Shelby and I are not going to
Mill Valley tomorrow, I'm thinking it's going to be wayyyyy muddy.
I wish I knew of another place but I don't , let's keep in touch and see if maybe we can find another weekend day later this month.
Sorry, the chauffeur.
I think I'll stay home for the same reason. Sometimes the weather-people are wrong--I was hoping! but no. Maybe there will be another day for us.

Well, maybe Mom needs to check in on the forums a bit more frequently. We didn't know that the Pawty was canceled so we made the trek from Hayward, got lost.... TWICE (silly Mom) and got to the park about an hour after she thought we were supposed to be there. She got me all excited about my very first outing after amputation. Oh, well. Mom figured we might as well stay and enjoy ourselves since she went through the trouble of getting the day off work and all. The weather was nice, it wasn't TOO muddy, and I got to meet some new quad friends.. After 2 hours of playing, that trek back to the truck was a bit ruff! I almost had Mom convinced that she had to carry me (haha) but she caught on when I suddenly sprung up from my shady spot on the path to greet another new friend. Darn my lack of personal discipline! At any rate, I hope I get to meet some of you next month. Paws crossed that Mom can get another Saturday off work.
Oh, too bad!! And we guessed wrong about the mud. I'm glad you had a nice time at the dog park.
I think we decided not to meet in April, but to go to the K9K in Elk Grove instead. Am I right???
Looking forward to meeting you, majorbubbatank.
