Hey all you Northern Colorado Tripawders. We're thinking of having a pawty somewhere between Denver and Fort Collins on Saturday May 19. What do you think? We'd love to pawty with ya!

Unfortunately, we'll be out of town. May is a big travel month for us, assuming that our K is still strong enough to take a camping trip with us. If she's not up to a trip, we'll be around and can attend. It sounds like a blast!

K, an 8 year old chocolate lab, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the radius and ulna on 12/23/11. She had stereotactic radiation to kill the bone tumors, and 3 rounds of carboplatin. On 3/16/12, lung mets were found. We tried several different kinds of chemotherapy to slow the lung mets but none worked. Finally, mets appeared at other sites, including her spine. She earned her angel wings on July 15, 2012. K changed my life, and I'll never forget her. Our/my journey is chronicled at romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com.

So what do you folks think of meeting in the Littleton/Morrison area? I found this great sounding dog park:

Wynetka Ponds Bark Park, W Bowles Ave & Platte Canyon Road, Littleton

or

Forsberg Iron Springs Park15900 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison CO US

Let me know!

I haven't been able to find out much about either place. Do we know if there is shade, dirt, grass, benches or anything like that? I will keep poking around. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who lives in that area, so I don't think any local friends will have experience there. I'll map them and see if I can't do a drive by. How's that?

Either location works for us but I can't give any input on either location as I've never been there... We could probably go take a look at the one in Morrison this weekend if that would help! We were gonna go hiking down there anyways 🙂

Never been to either location ourselves. The reviews aren't too bad but I'm doubtful that there's shade. If you gals want to check them out that would be peachy!

Allison Olds We could come! We have a tripawd, Ophelia, who lost her leg to an accident (before we got her) 9 years ago. She would love to meet others that look like her.

I did not get to check out either place but I did find this: http://www.ecoa.....orado.html  There are dog parks from all over here. The perfect one may be there.

As for the two you listed before, one thing I did find reading around online is that the Forsberg Iron park is on a hill. I've seen a couple of pictures and from one angle it looks steeper than from the other angle. I'm only throwing that out because I'm not sure that a hillside park is the best choice for a gang of tripawds.  whatever But it just may be.

We will go wherever you want us to go! Evelyn won't care and Dakota's just gonna hide and pant and slobber anyway.

Let me know what you think, if you get a chance to look at the list.
