Hey all you Northern Colorado Tripawders. We're thinking of having a pawty somewhere between Denver and Fort Collins on Saturday May 19. What do you think? We'd love to pawty with ya!

Unfortunately, we'll be out of town. May is a big travel month for us, assuming that our K is still strong enough to take a camping trip with us. If she's not up to a trip, we'll be around and can attend. It sounds like a blast!
K, an 8 year old chocolate lab, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the radius and ulna on 12/23/11. She had stereotactic radiation to kill the bone tumors, and 3 rounds of carboplatin. On 3/16/12, lung mets were found. We tried several different kinds of chemotherapy to slow the lung mets but none worked. Finally, mets appeared at other sites, including her spine. She earned her angel wings on July 15, 2012. K changed my life, and I'll never forget her. Our/my journey is chronicled at romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com.
Monkeydogs do not rule but they are welcome to come to the pawty.
KBear we will miss you! But I hope you guys have a mahvelous trip.

Ooooooh! And we would love to meet Sasha! I know that Wyatt Ray will be THRILLED. Paws crossed she feels good enough to come. So that date works for you then?

So what do you folks think of meeting in the Littleton/Morrison area? I found this great sounding dog park:
Wynetka Ponds Bark Park, W Bowles Ave & Platte Canyon Road, Littleton
or
Forsberg Iron Springs Park, 15900 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison CO US
Let me know!

I haven't been able to find out much about either place. Do we know if there is shade, dirt, grass, benches or anything like that? I will keep poking around. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who lives in that area, so I don't think any local friends will have experience there. I'll map them and see if I can't do a drive by. How's that?

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Never been to either location ourselves. The reviews aren't too bad but I'm doubtful that there's shade. If you gals want to check them out that would be peachy!

Hey just curious if either of you had time to check out the parks over the weekend?

I did not get to check out either place but I did find this: http://www.ecoa.....orado.html There are dog parks from all over here. The perfect one may be there.
As for the two you listed before, one thing I did find reading around online is that the Forsberg Iron park is on a hill. I've seen a couple of pictures and from one angle it looks steeper than from the other angle. I'm only throwing that out because I'm not sure that a hillside park is the best choice for a gang of tripawds. But it just may be.
We will go wherever you want us to go! Evelyn won't care and Dakota's just gonna hide and pant and slobber anyway.
Let me know what you think, if you get a chance to look at the list.
