Fencing at the dog beach?
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
Gerrysmom...
The dog beach is fenced in.....kind of...The shoreline, particularly at the south end(adjacent to the regular beach) is constantly changing. Worse in the past couple of years with the erratic weather. The blizzard trashed the end of the fence & there is now easy access to the regular beach. The fence is an ongoing issue between the city, county and DFA, and who's responsible...Since everyone is broke and every year it needs major repair...it's not getting fixed. A lot of people use the people beach for their dogs in the morning anyway....me included...The other 3 sides are OK.
That is the only area you'd have to worry about and that portion of the regular beach is pretty large, but not that close to the access street, which is blocked by a wall up to the far south end. There is a website http://www.mondog.org
Beautiful pics of two beautiful dogs!
What a great thing to celebrate with friends!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Woo hoo Isabelle! Woo hoo Ginger! Woo hoo Tate! Tate?
Okay, truth be told, it's Tate's 2-day early birthday celebration too! He'll turn 5 on August 16th.
