Miss Pegz checking in....I am happy to announce that I will be hosting an educational table and advocating for Tripawds at our local annual "Dog Days" festival on June 23-24, 2012!!
The event will take place here in sunny and warm Buffalo NY (Yes...those are 2 of the 4 days each year it actually IS warm in Buffalo) I am so psyched!!!
My vision is to spread the word about how totally normal and fun it is to to "hop on three" so we are planning a picture collage and a video loop as well as all kinds of other info about how totally pawesome we are~!!!
(The event planners are very intrigued and looking forward to having us...they said so!)
We are inviting all our Tripawd and Angel and Spirit friends to join us via picture story. If you would like to participate...please PM my Mom (KViz). She will ask you to submit a jpeg file of you (doing something pawsome) for inclusion on our story board.
This is all in the infant stages...we are boldly going where no Buffalo Tripawd has gone before!!! So if anyone has suggestions, comments, remarks...we are ALL (Plotthound) ears. 🙂
Thank you!!!
That sounds very cool!
And how generous of you to spend 1/2 of the nice days in Buffalo doing this. It sounds like an awesome festival. Wish we could come!
No suggestions/ideas at the moment but we'd love to be included on the story board! You know what a ham my TWP Cover Girl Super Model was for the camera!
Maybe you could get the special Tripawds Tribute Leash from whoever will have it before you.
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Karen, what a great idea! How's her paw?
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

This is pawesome! I have been having trouble finding events such as these in my area and after reading your post I did a search on "Dog Days" just to see if anything cameup, and lo and behold, I found a Dog Days in a neighboring town. It is in August so I can't wait to see the pictures from when you do it. Maybe I can get some ideas.
When you said you are looking fora jpeg file, could you tell us more about what kind of pictures you are looking for? Spokesdog Cadence would love to be included even though we are far away.
Cadence's Mom
Cadence Faye: Born 10/30/04, stepped into our hearts 12/23/2004. Rear leg tumor found 7/24/11 by mom and dad, Xray on 7/25/11, Osteosarcoma suspected 7/26/11, amputation 7/29/11, Carboplatin started 8/23. Met free so far!
A friend has offered to do a big picture collage on a board...so I was thinking a picture of your Tripawd "in action". Of course, I supposed sprawled on the couch is AN ACTION. LOL!!
Whatever picture you would like to send me is fine. I will post my email address below if you just want to send me a jpeg file (we will print the picture). For anyone that would like to send me an actual photo, please PM me and I will give you my address. I will ask you to write your name and address on the back of the photo, so that I can send it back when the event is over.
We will be taking lots of pictures at the event, so everyone can see.

What a wonderful thing to do! And glad to hear Pegz' paw is better.
You know I have the largest collection of tripawd videos! So if you need any videos or pictures (I have a gazillion pics of almost all of the tripawds here going back to 2009), let me know. I also have the memorial video with almost all of the familiar tripawds going back to the beginning. You can go to my youtube channel http://www.yout.....ature=mhee
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Oh, you can count us in!!!
My little Miss Rio was resplendent in her starring role as Canine Grand Marshall at the Puppy Up Walk last November, and thanks to BC Kess's mom, Tombi, I have some great pictures of her and her monkeybutt sisters.
Also, if you want, I made that big ol' Tripawds poster for the walk, and it's just sitting upstairs -- if you want it for your event, just let me know. I'd be happy to send it.
