Hi There, Fellow Tripawds!
Stephen had his leg amputated about six weeks ago and I have yet to see a fellow Tripawd in the Cambridge/Boston area. Are there any of you out there? If so, it would be nice to start rounding up a crew...have a little Tripawd get-together and share some tips.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Jaime + Stephen (the dog)
Thanks for asking and good luck planning three-legged get-togethers!
All Tripawds in the Boston area should mark their calendars for Saturday June 19 and join Luke and the Boys (Hudson & Murphy) for their Final Mile walk as they reach Boston after walking nearly 2,500 miles after leaving Austin in 2008 on the 2 Dogs 2000 Miles cross-country walk to raise awareness for canine cancer and the need for more comparitive oncology studies.
It would be wonderful to see a Tripawds Contingency join Luke for this culmination of his epic journey since we were there with him in Austin to help kick off the walk back in 2008, and we are unable to attend the Boston celebrations.

Hi MA tripawds!
Your posts about tripawds in MA were about two years ago, so I’m wondering if you’ll still see this, but I have a new tripawd, Ollie, who is a 9 year old Weimerainer and had his front left leg amputated in February of this year. We’d love to meet up with other Tripawds in our area. I live in Western MA but am willing to drive to meet up if anyone is interested. Let me know (either through tripawds or email me at solshinestudio@yahoo.com)
Thanks so much!
Jessie

I WISH i still lived there. I moved to NC and miss MA so much! I was from the fall river area! =(
HA! We moved here to PA from NC and I wish I still lived in NC!!! We just can't handle the cold weather! What part of NC do you live?
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...
