Come on Zeusy Moosey! Don't make the monkeydogs come down to State College & harass you into feeling better!Ps- we know how to get there cause our bipawd grandmudder is from Bellefonte! Bwahahahahahaha!
MB Samson007 and repeat offender Miss Perdy
No kidding. We actually live in Bellefonte (I just put State College b/c no one has ever heard of Bellefonte!)
Actually, Zeus is doing SOOOOO much better today! I don't know if it really was an adverse reaction to the antibiotic pills and he got better as they worked out of his system, or if he was still just recovering from the infection. Or maybe it was just the power in numbers from all you guys sending good thoughts his way!
Admin, his eating and drinking never waivered (this dog would eat until he exploded - no kidding). As of my post yesterday most of his symptoms had disappeared except for the shallowish/fast breathing, panting and some whining. He had not gone to the bathroom as much as normal but we attributed it to having not eaten while in the hospital. After his fourth (normal looking) poop yesterday we figured out that he must have been somewhat constipated from the meds. Between that and a full day of sleeping, he woke up this morning like a new dog!
Thanks again everyone. The support from you guys is invaluable!
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Hooray for a good update on our Zeusy boy! He'll be smiling and eating French fries in no time!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Way to go, Zeus. We all feel better now!

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
Yea for Zeus!! Time for fries yet?
Heather- I fixed your quote. The best way to do it is to copy what you want to quote and paste it in you post. Then hit return once or twice (aka enter). Type the rest of your message, then go back and highlight what you want to quote and hit the " icon. Just be sure there is at least one line space between what you quote and what you type. Clear?

She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
There is POWER in Tripawd numbers!
Go Zeus! So glad to hear you're feeling better. Keep it up!

Bahahahahahahahaha!
Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

So glad to hear that Zeus is on the mend... I missed the first part where he was in the hospital due to being out of town for several weeks, but I'm so happy to hear that he's feeling much better now.
Zeus-y, stop making your momma worry!!! That stress is not good for us moms. It makes our tummies twist up in knots and our hairs turn grey.
