Maybe if I get another dog, I'll name him Nixon. I wonder what breed would fit that name?
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

These past couple of weeks have been so full of sadness. We have lost so many of our beloved Tripawd friends. My thoughts and prayers are with those families who have so recently suffered the loss of their pup. RIP Oscar, Ruthie, Henry, Skyler, and little Maggie.
Fortis just got back from his second acupuncture/chiropractic adjustment. Like the first, he loved it. I don't think he wanted to come home. He looked at me as if to say, later dad I'll just stay here if it's all the same with you!!! What's up with that? Seriously he seemed to really have a good time.

I think that kind of stuff seems to really work!! We haven't tried the accupuncture, but having the massage person come HERE is such a benefit....for both of us....I'm already thinking...hmmm...if she is done at 2:30, kitten seems to have down time in that late afternoon, Magic and I can nap and kitten won't chew on either one of us...poor Casper, guess I should stop calling him kitten!!
now, when is YOUR treatment scheduled??

You're so right about this. Our hearts are with all of the families whose angels have gotten their wings. It makes us so sad to read about our heroes losing their battle.
It's good to read the news about Fortis! We're glad to hear the acupuncture / chiropractic session seems to be working for your boy. Diane is right - when is your session??

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Hey Fortis and FortisDad,
A very belated happy ampuversary! Four months is a reason to celebrate.
My massage therapist worked on Maggie a couple of times- she really loved it too, she would make the coolest little satisfied grunting sounds.
Thanks also for the kind words- this place is the best!
Karen and the pug girls
Thnaks for the great update! Jerry loved his acupuncture session too. Just check out the video from Jerry's veterinary acupuncture visit.

That's great that Fortis is loving the acupuncture! I had a vet tell me that it really does help based on test cases and he was anti-holistic.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
