I'm sorry that I didn't post something earlier. Since posting Fortis' ampuversary celebration on Monday Fortis' condition has suddenly deteriorated. We don't have any answers. It seems like some kind of cognitive heart failure. I'm not sure if it is related to the lung mets or not but I would guess that it is. It seems something is causing the oxygen level in his blood to drop suddenly and without warning. We have an appointment with our vet today. I will post more when I can.
Thank you all for your kindness and compassion during this past year. Your prayers are needed.
Brett

Fortis and Brett,
You guys were here to help me when I first came to this board last summer in search of harness information, so I have a special feeling for Fortis. Recently I haven't been on here too much, but I'm sorry to see that he has had a downturn. You are in my thoughts.

Boomie's leg was amputated due to osteosarcoma on May 15, 2008. He enjoyed over two and a half years of life after that, one day at a time. He died on Feb. 21, 2011.
The Hurricane and family are thinking of you guys. Hoping this is just another speedbump. Give the big lug an ear rub from us and tell him we're thinking about all his great adventures and what a profound effect his story has on others.
Lots of Luv,
Rosie
Brett & Pattie, I have no words you haven't already heard. You know my support is with you, and I'm holding the three of you in my heart. You will make whatever decision is necessary for our big guy, and we will support whever that decision is.
Good thoughts for you all.
