Hi Guys, of course I love all my tripawd friends and check on their story daily I have not heard much lately (or my silly mom can't seem to work her computer right to find the updates!) from Max and Zeus. My mom and I took special attention to their stories because not only did they help my mom lots when I was recovering but their pictures reminded her of me (Zeus) and my little brother Hoyt (Max). Hope all is well with you two and please keep us updated!
Lots of wags and licks!
Tucker
Hey there Tucker pal...Thank you for thinking of us! We are hoppin along fantastically and enjoying each and every day. We just had a mini check up on Saturday with Dr. Kecia and we are A-OK. (Mom thought I was acting mopey and was a little worried - SILLY HUMANS!!! So she took me in for a looksie and Doc said she thought I never looked better!!!) I go for x-rays and blood work in March and I also have a Birthday in March...March 8th, I will be 11 years old, but just over the weekend, someone said to mom, oh, what a cute puppy...was he born that way? Yeah, I ain't going anywhere anytime soon! Mom arranged it so she can work her hours in a 4 day work week instead of 5 so we can have longer weekends together - that's pretty cool and I just love the extra time we get to spend together.
We will celebrate 1 year ampuversary on April 9th...a little bit away yet, but wow, mom can't believe it's coming up.
How is everything going with you Tucker?
We love all our tripals too...so very, very much. Thank you Jerry for bringing us all together in this very special way.
xooxo

Zeus,
Its great to hear that you are doing so well and we all will be looking forward to your one year anniversary. I turned 11 just a week before my amputation but have promised dad that I will make 12. I did have some blood work done in anticipation of a Bordetella vaccination, and the Dr Laura said “the results were….excellent”.
Dad takes me for rides nearly every day. At first, that allowed me to forget the pain and the chemotherapy taste so I ate some “treats” during these trips. Also, at first, that was the only food that I took willingly, and Dad had to stuff me all the rest of the time. That has changed slowly in the three months since the amputation, and while I still prefer to be hand fed, I do eat willingly now. I am also glad that your Mom has been able to adjust so that you can spend more time with her. One must never forget that treating the spirit is as important as treating the body. It is all about “quality of life”.
Good job and keep us posted.
Oh Cherry, when you turn 12, we are going to do a million happy dances!
Your Dad obviously loves you so, so much, and is very wise. What an awesome pawrent to have.

TUCKER!!!! Hey bud, how are the brothers and sisters and how are YOU??
Im doing really good right now. My Mom says she has her old Max back! Tonight I had my tennis ball in my mouth and since I chew them until I split them in half, my Mom takes them away when we come inside. Tonight, I wasnt ready to give up my ball and I put the jaws of life clamp down on it. Even my Dad couldnt coax me into dropping that ball. My Mom thought she would be smart and pull out the treats….HA! I still wouldnt give it up (silly mom) but I did try to see if I could pick the treats up with the ball in my mouth. Dude..its tough, but it can be done.! I got one in there but I couldnt chew. I thought my Mom was gonna wet her pants she was laughing so hard. Good to have some laughing back in the house! I finally got tired and left the ball in my food bowl. Its a safe place there! My Mom keeps it in there all of the time and I have to eat around it. Makes me eat slower or something.
Anyway..hey, my Mom wrote a story about me and its on the site http://www.just.....radors.com you should check it out. She was happy they published it, but says it still needs some polish..I offered some shine from my coat, but she said it wouldnt work very well. She also wrote an essay and entered it into a contest. Jerrys mom is gonna post it on the blog! Hope we win!!
Thanks for checking on me!!! Tripawd high five to ya!
