Shanna & Trouble,

Congratulations upon reaching another milestone. We were very glad to be able to find your Ampuversary posting and will celebrate vicariously with you. I have also decided not to do any post chemo chest x-rays. They usually want to give Cherry a slight sedative for the x-ray and she does not do well with such sedative. Also, I am not sure how any x-ray result would change the way we deal with the situation.

We all wish you the best as you continue this fight.

Trouble had her blood work re-check this morning and her white count is back in the normal range.  Up to 8000 from 3600 - WooHoo!  I have to admit she had me more than a little concerned.  She isn't getting around real well - stumbles a bit and sometimes just falls.  I know after all these months I should be prepared, but it seemed to be happening a lot more lately.

Dr F had a long talk with me about her general health.  He is happy with where she is, thinks there is nothing to worry about.  He did start her on Rimedyl for some arthitis relief.  I'm feeling better with his words of encouragement, maybe I'll get a little more active with my posting now that I don't need to worry 🙂

Worry is such a silly human emotion. It does us no good. Follow Trouble's lead ... if life has you stumbling, get up with a smile and keep on hopping! Glad to hear things are looking up. Thanks for the update!

Right on Jer!!!

Shanna - I know the stumbles catch your breath a bit and make you sad...Zeus has them a bit more than he used to and has some arthritis in his left remaining front leg - Shadow taught us a valuable lesson that our fur kids always seem to be trying to teach us - live in the moment...in today. Enjoy today Shanna - Trouble will show you how.

All our love - glad to hear that Trouble is feeling better Big Grin

Thanks guys, of course I know you are right.  Being the human I am, sometimes I forget my doggie lessons and revert back to the dumb one!  She's so very special to me, it sometimes just pulls at the heartstrings.

I'm hoping the rimedyl will take some of the edge off and she'll get around a little better.

Hi Shanna,

Sorry I'm a little late to your posts,  glad to hear the doc thinks there's nothing to worry about, but of course we do anyway.  Except for Toffee's episode the other night, that Rimadly is good stuff.  Hope Trouble is getting around better!

For those of you following Trouble's journey, I thought I'd let you know the remadyl is doing the trick.  She is really feeling better and I can once again breathe easy.  I didn't realize how paralyzed I had become until the cloud lifted.  I am so very thankful Trouble is feeling better.  She rocks my world.

Shanna, that's great to hear. Although NSAIDs carry some risks, most dogs tolerate drugs like Rimadyl prety well. Just be sure to watch out for any warning signs.

We are thankful too that she's doing great. She is one awesome pitty!

Soooooo glad to hear the good news. Dogs Rule - no doubt about that. Mine have been through hell and back with me - gotta love that unconditional love they give.
