Wow, its already been 2 weeks since TJ became a tri-paw.  He's pretty much back to normal... every day is a little better and I still remember freaking out at every whimper like it was last week.. mainly because it was only last week.

I can't wait to get rid of those stitches and have my TJ back 100%.  He's already learned the ramp and just today chased a cat along the fence.  Its good to see him back to his old self... mostly.

I guess now its just a waiting game till the signs appear.  At least it will be a good summer with him.

Wowee, 2 weeks already that is flying by.  Now TJ might slow down a little because its still early in the recovery process still just to give you a heads up.  Don't worry too much if he does.  Try not to let him over do it as he will take longer to recover.

Are you doing chemo or any other kinds of holistic treatments?

Pawesome! It's great to hear things are good and you're upbeat!

He's learned to use a ramp? That's wonderful, a lot of dogs won't do it so soon and sometimes not at all. Give TJ extra treats for that one!

Just got back and stitches are out.. its nice to pet my TJ without those prickely stitches getting in the way.

No chemo or holostics in the future... but I did have the vet save some tissue for a biopsy if I change my mind.  Basically if TJ gets to 90 days post amp and no cancer in the x-ray I'll seriously consider chemo... right now its not in the cards.

Just lots of love, good food and walkies for my TJ.

There is little a TJ won't do for a snausage.

Hi there,

Well done, TJ!

Dotty is at the 3 week mark today, we got our stitches out last week (what was left, Dot had been sneakily taking them out herself, she's very helpful) and it's been an amazing week of little triumphs. Dot is showing us more and more of her old self and we are starting to realise how down she had been for a long time before she went lame and we suspected something was up. She destroyed a stuffed duck in the kitchen last night and we all cheered as she lay exhausted on her sheepskin, surrounded by fluff and shredded fun fur. It was quite a return to form!

She is looking happier as well, I felt she was really soulful even when she was running up stairs and eating well, there was just a look in her eye. This week we have just started to notice a look of real humour on her face, it's so reassuring and hopefully what you'll start to see in TJ as he embarks on this next phase of mental recovery.

We are also watching and waiting as Dot never got a definitive diagnosis, we have chosen to focus on the more positive one and I am trying not to listen to her breathing all the time and leap up in fright at every sneeze or cough...

Best of luck, isn't it great to have them around?

That's great news TJ!! I k owyou'll feel better having those old itchy switches out!!

Just wan to kind DA ditto what Michelle said. He's still very early in recovery. I k ow so e dogs seem to have Abi turn around when stitches came out. Not so. such with my Haph Hannah.....it was a good three weeks before K started seeing some sparkle coming back on "somewhat" of a consistent basis. And, of course ow......YAY and more YAYS!

And ditto what Victoria said.

It's NOT about waiting g for anything to "show up". (easier said than do e...constantly reminding myself of that one!).....T's about soaking up the bliss of having her by your side right. now and not wasting any energy on anything that keeps you from being present with her in the moment! And the moment is where TJ lives:-) :-)

Celebrating over here TJ..gonna go get some sausages and put candles on them in your honor!!

So proud of you both! You KNOW we HAVE to have more TJ photos!!

Lots of love,

Sally and Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

TJ sure is a lucky pup to have you for a pawrent (and a hefty supply of sausages too!). As for not doing chemo; you would be surprised how many people don't do chemo here. And then even more surprised how many dogs who didn't do chemo went on to live far beyond anyone's expectations, myself included!

We all have our fingers crossed for clean x-rays. Keep us posted.
