Thanks Sally,
i did read that Blod, it was super informative! I realize that we are walking into unknown territory up here in Canada, but this is why we have to ask a ton of questions, no matter where we choose to go. Sally, i will assure you that if we are told that we should not use this product for our animals we will listen to them! The oil can not contain any THC or this will make them very sick and can even cause death. We are researching things on our end and then will be asking tons of questions. I appreciate your update Sally!
love ya

Hi Petra 🌺
Eurydice's Dad loved her to bits but was never involved in her day to day care.
Sometimes he even got jealous of the attention I awarded her and that ended up in some heated discussions.
At some point I just clarified the situation and told him "medical" decisions were to be taken solely by me with Eurydice's best interest at heart and that was that.
It worked very well for the three of us.
This is to say even loving somebody dearly doesn't necessary mean one can properly deal with a given situation.
It seems you are the main person providing day to day care whilst David loves Stewie but could not replace you.
No harm in that and Stewie is happy 💗
Sending you tons of kisses and cuddles to your gorgeous baby boy 😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

i may be the care taker, but Paul is definitely the go-to person for all things loveable and the land of no “No’s!!” Unless of course he is unavailable and Mum is willing!!!

Although our end goals are the same, for Paul and i, getting there is half the battle, but the other half is the learning curve i think!
It has been a pretty trying experience all around, but all major decisions need that balance don’t they!

No, Paul doesn’t deal with the end of life situations very well, but that doesn’t mean that he is unrealistic about them. i envy him in a way right now, ‘cause he wants to be “more dog” where he just wants to enjoy his time with his kids and not have to worry about tomorrow, just like we were living a year ago!!!! I have to live with my Hawk eyes everyday! 👀
It seems you are the main person providing day to day care whilst David loves Stewie but could not replace you.
I most certainly am the “Noyce” (translated into nurse... 😉 in this household! Paul could definitely change his own band aid, but anything more than that and your talking 911!! If Stewie told him himself that he really wants that medicine, i don’t think Paul could even do it then!!
No harm in that and Stewie is happy 💗
Stewie is as happy as a clam! Thank you! Especially ‘cause he got to have that Bully Stick that has been in the cupboard for a couple of days!!!!
Sending you tons of kisses and cuddles to your gorgeous baby boy 😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
Thanks Teresa, take care darlin’! Spirit kisses to Miss Cow!

Hi Lovely,
I’m sorry to only just now be catching up, but clearly delighted to hear that Stewie is feeling better. You can get CBD oil in the UK and I have tried it with my two with little effect (I think) but of course every situation and reaction is different. I totally understand the frustration of coming up against national licensing laws. I would love to try Adequan for instance but it’s not licensed for use in dogs in the UK. It is licensed for use in horses, but MegaActress as she is, I’m not sure Meg could pass as a horse. Stewie on the other hand.... anyway I’m going off on s tangent.
Having to negotiate care with a partner must be difficult, though I guess it also provides an opportunity to think things through from another perspective. Heaven only knows, I get into fierce enough arguments with myself over what’s right for the girls.
I know there was mention of weather perhaps affecting Stewie earlier in the thread. I would just second that this has a PROFOUND impact on Meg. Injury aside, it has by far the biggest impact on her energy levels and whether she wants a walk. It doesn’t need to be actually raining either, just that feeling of damp in the air and she behaves really rather like Stewie in that first video. For us, this has been a very long, very damp winter. If you’ve been having similar, then I would think it highly likely that this is affecting Stewie and that drier, warmer, brighter weather will give him a considerable lift.
Sending love and sorry to be coming so late to this.

Hi Lovely,
It is now good afternoon to you my lovely lady!
I’m sorry to only just now be catching up, but clearly delighted to hear that Stewie is feeling better.
It was 5am wake up call from my Tedmeister, with a furball match going on in his throat, so a bit of a shocker round here first thing, but Stewie slept through it all.... what does that tell you?? Yes, he seems to be quite fine this morning too.

Unfortunately Canada and Mexico are the only countries that CBD is not legally available! Canada might be a nice country, but it is a little behind the times I’m afraid!
And Meg-an-actress, could you not just elongate your nose a little and bucker up your trot, you should pass as a mini something somewhere!!!! With Stewie, I have had to check which one was the bear, as Stewie was chasing it up the drive a couple of years back! I truly had to see which bottom was in front!!!! Thankfullly, it was the bears!!!

Heaven knows it all Clare and that’s the problem, it’s not sharing its information!!! I think negotiations are a part of life and i think you are right when you say that is helps us to think things through... it does.... that’s not to say that i still don’t have screaming matches with myself out in the woods... i do!!!

It has been an extremely long, cold and damp winter for us and it is going on for too long! Still we are having -6 C temps at night! That is crazy for us, especially at the end of March!!!! Meg-Our-Star, i do hope the weather is now helping you feel a little better, you poor thing... alergic to damp, cold weather and you live in the UK? Oh you poor girl!!! Maybe it is the weather that is effecting Stewie? I hope so!!!
Sending love and sorry to be coming so late to this.
Never a need to be sorry my lovey! I am just happy to see you and Meg-0ur-Star!

Stu Butt and family,
There was an article on CBC radio about a woman who got CBC oil for her dog on Vancouver Island:
http://www.cbc......-1.4032286
Here are the authorized producers of medicinal cannabis authorized by Health Canada:
https://www.can.....poses.html
Here is some CBD oil available for sale: https://canntru.....oil-drops/
I realize you may need a medical marijuana card but anyone can get one it seems and the I believe the woman in the CBC program used her husband's card for her pet. It seems that many young adults have the cards, so I'm sure you, as a wiser, older adult can get one.
Personally I would want to find a product that has been legitmately tested for the THC levels before I give it to a pet.
Stewie looks wonderful by the way. He looks so sweet and cuddlie.
Hugs to you and your furmaly!
