okay, Sebastian came up a little lame today and we are at the vet. It's his back leg. He seems to be able to walk around but has trouble sitting down.
Otherwise he does seem fine. Is there anything we should be on the lookout or ask the vet about?

Please consider getting seeing a certified canine rehab vet/tech for a professional orthopedic evaluation. Visit a CCRT or CCRP and the Tripawds Foundation will pay for your first visit from the Maggie Moo Fund for Tripawd Rehab!

What was his activity like shortly before you nlticed the strain when sitting down?  Sounds like he pulled a back muscle or maybe a groin muscle.

Have the Bet do some "range of motion" movements to see if anything with the leg pr hip seem to be involved....strained ligaments, etc.

Let us know what the Vet says.   And try not to worry!  This is most likely nothing!

PS...Get Sebastian a cheeseburger from a drive thru onnthe waynhome! It's a great "treatment":-)

Just got back from the vet - he couldn't sit without issues earlier, but sure enough, as soon as we get there in front of the vet, boom, he sits like nothing's bothering him. He did walk with a slight limp and shifted his weight off though. The vet prescribed more rest and Galliprant. So it seems like he made it past this weekend.

Also... not sure if related to his today or not, but somehow he got loose yesterday and went on a neighborhood stroll (with Mojo tagging along, as she always does). Our subdivision is pretty nice, so they saw them and got them locked up until we got them. It was almost his way of saying he can do things unrestricted, see? lol.

We will see if there is a certified canine rehab vet nearby this week.

Thanks everyone!

Oh Sebastian!   You are a silly bou!!  Yiu scare yiur Momma and then you turn I to a lshow-off" at the Vets sooo proud of yiur cute self!way-cool

Mu "guess" is  his little unauthorized stroll was the root cause.  He coukd have stumbled over a hole, tripped over a branch ..any number of things.

One of my favorite stories was about a tripawd named Barrett.  He woke up one morning with a completely useless leg.  He was rushed to the Vet by some very panicky pawrents.  .  By the time he got there he was prancing arou d on all three like a Champ! The Bet figured his foot/leg merely had "gone to sleep".  He was completely over it by the time he got to the Vet 🙂

So glad Sebastian is ALL BETTER ! 🙂 🙂
