Little Eider has been on rapamycin for 5 weeks now.  He takes it Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1x a day.  Bloodwork is great so far.  What is strange, is that he seems to be EXTRA SILLY within a few hours of his pill (evening meal).  We keep telling ourselves we are projecting our own excitement/hope, but it is consistent.

Do any of the rapamycin dogs get sassy after their dose?

Thanks everyone!

Virginia

I don't have any insight, but I fi d it absolutely DELIGHTFUL that Elder is feeling so great and loves his "happy pill"! I think that's a really good sign! 🙂

Even though he wasn't able to get into the trial, I'm glad you were able to continue your own version of the "trial"!

Cheering for you Elder!! YAY FOR SILLY! 🙂

Hugs!

I don't know about silly after each dose, but there was a CNN article about Rapamycin practically being a fountain of youth for dogs. http://www.cnn......ve-longer/  Maybe Little Eider regresses to puppy madness.

Hi!

Are you still giving your pup rapamycin? We are hoping to get into a study at the University of Illinois with our girl, Dolly. We have a 50/50 chance of getting the rapamycin and I'm really interested in how it's going for you. If we don't get the rapamycin arm, I hope to add one homeopathic options after we get through chemo as the control group. But, I think our vet has high hopes for the rapamycin being the secret to Dolly's battle.
