Hi Tripawds and family! How is everyone doing? I hope well. Bailey is doing just great, it has been 4 months since her surgery and I am so happy we did it. I do have a quick question though, although I do not know how we didn't see this sooner and there is really nothing we can do about it now. Anyways, when Bailey got her stitches removed it looks like two little tiny pieces didn't get removed. Do you think this is okay? I mean obviously, it's not "okay" they should have removed it all but I'm just wondering..it doesn't seem to bother her so should I worry, or not really? thanks for any help, I know it's an odd question.

Heeeey! Yay for Bailey!

I dunno. When I had my amputation done a couple of stitches got left behind. A few weeks later my vet just pulled them out, no big deal. When does she go to the vet again? If it's not red or irritated maybe you can have your vet look at it then?

She doesn't have an appointment any time soon. As she is up to date with all shots and her recovery process is over. But next time I will ask them about it, like I said it's not bothering her but I wouldn't want stitches left from an old surgery in my body if it were me!

I don't know either!  But I have on two occasions from various surgeries found stitches, months down the road.  I'm not telling you to do this...but I just took them out myself with no problems. Again...not telling you to do this...but I just sterilized a nail clipper and tweezers and took them out myself.  smiley
