Hello tripawd friends

I was trying to remember the general (or specific name) of the drug sometimes used to help build bone mass in dogs with OSA - these drugs are sometimes used when surgery is not a good option and seem to help reduce the tumour a bit too (my 2009 information could be out of date by now). This is relevant to a Manitoba tripawd asking about options for her older dog. I seem to remember Pez (is that name correct) using this for an extended time when his vet advised against surgery - which he ended up doing a year or so later. I can't search "Pez" in the archives because it does not reach the minimum requirement of four letters! Maybe the Colorado tripawd, Timber also used this treatment, so I will search his name.

Thanks - Susan of "Tazzie Two"

Okay - I searched "Timber" and found this great link. As I recall, biosphosphonates were pretty readily available. I'll pass this along to one of the Manitoba dogs:
