Hey - I know some of you might be waiting to hear about Abby's x-ray... the xrays were odd and not at all what her onc expected. In a nutshell, there was good news and bad news so we will try the new drug and see how it goes. I didn't cry at the appointment, so that's good, right?

I'm writing up the details on her blog and will post when I'm done!

Thank you for all the good thoughts - I think it helped.

Jackie & Abby

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Glad to hear Abby's x-rays didn't turn out like your day had been going up to that point!  Not great results, but I would say not totally bad results either.  You have a strong girl there!  Keep kickin' cancer's ass, Abby!!

Hey Jackie,

Well, what to say....?  I guess my fav part is the onc saying she won't be going anywhere anytime soon!!

As for the neighbors, well maybe you can get them to move?  Play loud music, throw wild parties... I'll come down and help big-grin.  But at my age I can't do the naked thing... (you all have to read the blog post for that last sentence).

I hope the mastinib kicks some 'mints' a**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well gosh darn it!!!!

All I can say is, 'chin up'!  (double chins are never attractive...I know!)

We're still rooting for some good news in the future!

Wow.   I have been off the site for a few days, so I am sorry I wasn't here to send positive "juju" to sweet Abby.  Your blog about your day was pretty amazing.  I don't know how I feel about the new met, but it sounds like the drugs are kicking tail pipe on the other mets.  I really hope for the same results as what "Lucky" got!

The guy in your yard... hmmm.  That would've made me glad that I got my CC license.  (carry permit).   I am crazy enough to have chasitized him for being in my yard.  If you need us tripawd folks to do a "sit in" on your neighbors yard, we are here for you!

Well, I really adore Abby and your family, so we are sending the BEST of prayers up for her, may she be clean and cleared of all mets, for a long and healthy life.  Amen.

Hugs, and best of juju

Elizabeth and Sammy

Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the right front leg 8/23/10,

leg fractured 8/27/10,

leg amputated 8/30/10

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us.  Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
