Jackie and Abby,
We are with you, sending you strength and courage to get through this awful news and the days ahead. We hate cancer so much. Please give Abby the biggest hug from us, and a smooch on her adorable snout.
We feel your pain,
Micki and Rio

TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
This is very sad news. I've followed Abby's Tripawds blog since it began, and I've been pulling for her ever since. I'm so sorry to hear she's having some rough days. I can't offer any new advice, just what everyone else has already said: spend your time with Abby as a family, and enjoy every minute. Update as you can, and please give your girl some love from me. Sending positive thoughts your way.
Thanks everyone for the wonderful words of support. I know Abby has been an inspiration to many - she certainly has been to me and my whole family. I hope she can continue to go on inspiring everyone a bit longer.
She had a great time at the beach this afternoon. I'll try to update the blog soon with pictures. She is a trooper.
Hugs back at you all. Abby still sends kisses! (And she is so happy to hear that MBBVP would value a kiss from her. She'd love to get her lips on him in person but will settle for sending virtual kisses...)
Jackie, Abby's proud mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
What a slam to the stomach to hear about Abby. I have been off for awhile, with the holidays to get through as the first ones without our sweet border girl Zip I just couldn't write. Oh I am so sorry that her mets have grown so much. The best dogs are so hard to let go of. Kiss her on the nose for me and know we are all crying with you.
Abby and Jackie-
We hope you enjoy your time together. You and Abby have been so good to Lucy and I during our short time here. Glad to hear Abby enjoyed her day at the beach, let there be many more! Cancer does bite. That red eye landed at our house now.
Positive thoughts being sent your way.
Mary, Lucy's mom
Lucy's front right leg was amputated 12/19/11. Thankfully there was no tumor, but her nerves were found to be degenerative. Life as a tripawd is Lucy's new adventure!!
Dear dear Abby,
We are thinking of you and your pawrents tonight. Please tell your mom that as of this minute, not only is she, Jackie Raye, from here until eternity, an honorary member of the Oaktown Pack but she is also.......drumroll pleeze......hereby inducted into the Tripawd Girldogs with 2 Names ROCK Club!
Abby, we know you are gonna keep on lovin' life every minute of every day, get all the Dutchmen you can squeeze outta your mom, and keep makin' every tripawd boydog you look at weak in the knees (and wanting to do each other severe bodily harm to win your gracious favors). You're a one-in-a-million Tripawd Warrior Princess, oh yesh you are indeed!

Oh, Abby, Abby, Abby. Such stupid bad news for you today. I want to kick cancer from here to the end of the world for taking it's hold on you. Oh, how I hate it!
I am sure that you enjoyed your day at the beach. I am confident that your mom will continue to give you the most amazing care every day of your life. I can see here that we are ALL praying for you in our own special ways.
We know that you will live every single moment to it's fullest, sweet Abby.
Rumbles is sending dreamy, sloppy Boxer kisses to you...and I am sending you a big, warm hug.

Somehow I had that "feeling" and didn't want to sign on this morning, so I didn't, well, now I now why. I hate this!! I'm so, so sorry Jackie.
But I'm so happy she had a good day at the beach today and is still enjoying her 'beautiful' life, because that is how it occurs to her - she is one completely loved on girl - our Tripawd Warrior Princess Abby.
Sending huge hugs and biggest wags

Give our Tripawd Warrior Princess Abby tons of kisses from us! And tell her that no matter what happens, she has changed us all just by knowing her...for the better!
Super Kisses!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Thanks again everyone. The support and love really do mean so much!
She had a much better night last night. No coughing episodes, no getting up (even to go out and pee, which I knew could be an issue with the pred.). She is still breathing a little heavy so I'm hoping we will see more improvement there over the day.
I also just want to say that I am VERY proud to have become an honorary member of the Oawktown Pack! And also Abby is thrilled to be elevated to cousin status with our beloved idol, Spirit Gayle.
With much love,
Jackie Raye and Abby Louise
P.s. when are we going to hear more about Austin Ray?
