THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Squizzy went to the vet today and I feared the worst...After sobbing away my weekend and following the advice from all of you, and nagging the daylights out of St. Francis, the vet was astonished and happy to say that not only would her holes heal on their own BUT that he could stitch her back together! My poor girl might look like Franken weenie with all of her scars, but I know she won't care! Heck, yesterday she nearly ate me out of house & home yesterday and went up & down the stairs on her own! I pray she won't have any further complications, but I know she wouldn't have had this prognosibig-grins if it wasn't for all of you! Thank you for saving my girl!

Great news !  so relieved to read that Squizzy is perking up.  These first few days post-op are really, really frightening and there are moments when we do feel "abandoned" by the vets.  Mommy "gut feeling" and good advice from friends who have been through similar experiences can really save our beloved pets in critical moments.  Keep up the positive attitude, and remember the healing process is a few weeks long.  Don't let her overdo it with stairs and all. It's time to take it easy, keep her away from stairs if possible.

hugs from Daniela & Johnnie

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet.   Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues.   Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle.  October 17:  started having seizures.  Taking fenobarbital for seizures.  April 18: started prednisone.
