Hi, bracken 10 year old lab rottie, got amputated front leg near four weeks ago, due to bone tumour, he seemed to be doing okay but the last week has been awful. He has a continuous high temperature, rapid breathing , lethargic , with no interest in toys or his humans. The last few days he has also been toileting in the house. Just simply standing up from his bed and going to the toilet. Is this the end of the road?

Hi Chloe and Bracken, welcome. Your future posts won't need to wait for approval so post away.

If you haven't already, it's time to let your vet know what is going on. That sounds like he might have some sort of infection happening. How are his gums? Did you do a capillary refill test?

Either way, definitely get him to a clinic asap. Don't panic, it could be something really simple. Keep us posted. We are sending tons of pawsitivity your way!

Also want to encourage  you to get him checked out with a Vet asap.    Bloodwork, urine samples, maybe chest xrays, etc may all be in order.  Respiratory  infections, even raging UTIs can cause all sorts of scary sysmptons that should be treatable.

P,ease update when uou can and now that we are all sending  paws energy for a good outcome for your sweet Bracken.

Hugs
