You are both in my thoughts tonight. Take each and every minute that you have with Ty to let him know just how special he is to you. We will take care of the worrying for you.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Wow, I just retread what I wrote last night! Was I tired or what? So many typos. It was 9pm till I got him home. We are taking care of our 2 nieces right now since their Mom is in CCU. Have not been a parent (human) for awhile since our last daughter is almost 23. Anyway, I waited till the youngest got home from practice and fed her. She wound up riding along as it is a 1+ hr trip each way. He is not eating this AM well except these little cookie things he likes. Seems to bother him to swallow. Meds are a nightmare. Will see how this weekend goes. I am afraid whatever is growing there is putting pressure on his throat. He was draining a lot last night and I was hoping it would have gone down more. His actual neck and mouth area sees better. Again, I am feeling that I am not being fair to him , but what if we find out it is infection and not a tumor.then I will have done the wrong thing. It is early in the day, wee I'll see what the rest of the day brings.

He ate,!!!!! And drank a good bit. Praise God for the little gifts! I was afraid this AM when I could not get him to swallow to take meds, it was going to be a real bad day. I thought, he is a dog and dogs favorite thing is to eat and if he cannot even do that ,,,,,,, well you know how the mind goes. Then an hour later, he gets up and is actually hungry.clapclap I think maybe , he is just figuring out how to avoid the meds.clown

THIS IS GREAT to hear!!

Yes, a dog as smart as Ty and as well-versed in humans trying to "hid his meds", will do anything ro avoid them!!

Ry fot up on his own and ate!!!clap Show s he's still got his will and determ ation!!

"Guess that because that rhing is still draining is a good thing. Of everythingnyou have to worrh avout, I don't think "choking" is o e of them. He's eating and drinking and there doesn't appear ro be anything "blocking" him i when he does that.

Where the heck have they sent those blood panels .....Mars...by carrier pigeon????? Still no word on those???

You are doing a wonderful job of "hangng in"!! Keep it up! Answers and soluti s are coming!

YAAAAAY TY!!!

oh, I forgot to post. All Negative for Vector Borne. She called them yesterday and said, just tell me verbally. maybe, it is my wishful thinking, but the fact that there is a bruise at what they think is the "old injection site" still goes back to my original theory. He has not been the same since the cortisone injection!!!!!! Hello anyone? They took biopsies from like 4 areas and sent them to be tested both for cancer and to be cultured for bacteria. Maybe, just maybe, we are on the road to a answer. I just refuse to think that a tumor could overtake my boy so fast .I mean it appeared less than a week after completely clear full body scans. I just keep thinking positive thoughts.

Your instincts...intuition......inner voice...whatever you want to call it..are soooooo strong on this, I would not dismiss them at all!!!

Now, somehing to think about. IF all these problems (or at least some of them) stem from the steroid....cortizone injjection site....what needs to happen to, not only confirm that, but treat it??!

Whichever ver gave Tu that i jection should have the "batch number" to determine if it was part of the "toxic batch" a while back.

Maybe a Holistic Vet would have input on how to counter such a "condition". Definitely worth an inquiry.

Yeah...full body scans clean, everything biopsed all clean and this pops up a week later????? They need to start thinking outside the box for answers. You keep following your instincts.

Hang in there yo sgrong little soul, hang in there!!

HUGS and lots of tummy rubs and shoes for TY GUY!!

Oh Ty, I've been worried about you. I am so happy to get on here this morning and see that you were hungry! I agree with Sally, go with your gut feeling. If you aren't getting the answers you want, keep on them. If you need to get a second opinion, go for it! You're his biggest advocate. Keep thinking positive thoughts and relish every small little victory along the way. Those little victories all add up!!
