We could start a weekly anything goes topic ...how would that work?
Why not just use the Shout Outs forum? We'll let you discuss amongst yourselves who shall start said weekly topic, this week, any week, or every week, on what day of the week. The less rules the better for such discussion, but it is indeed best to keep it out of informative topics. Thanks for the idea. If there is consensus a new forum is warranted, we shall make it so.
Now, that whole convention idea, that requires one of those informative topics. Just ask Jerry about his idea for regional Tripawd Olympics. And while I have worked far too many shows – and played a bit too hard – in Lost Wages during my previous life, I would return for such an momentous event. If not only to infiltrate the AMBF.

Could we have a separate forum re: the Convention planning ?
I don't know how to start a new forum - or even if I CAN start one....
but it would be helpful to get things started.
Thanks.
Tana
(p.s. CometDog - just a thought - but you could make up and sell T-shirts for the AMBF cause at the convention !!)

"Going Dog" def: living every day in the moment
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."

Wow am I late to this thread. It's been a tough month for Fortis and posting doesn't come easy for me during these times.
I pray Magic is well and having mostly good days.
I must say, I have really gotten a laugh while reading through these post. Whats this about an over the 50's club and a Tripawd convention. I'm at least 20 years from this unspeakable decade. If possible though I would really appreciate an age waiver. I'm really mature for my age and feel I have a lot to contribute to this club. After all I watched every minute of Watergate!
A convention in Vegas. I would love that. Fortis wouldn't be able to make the trip but with all my winnings I would make it up to him.
Go Comet's Mom!! Make it happen.
FYI, the H20 thing, Fortis has a Palisades Pack by Ruffwear. It has a built in hydration system, room for kibbles, and lots of cool features for a day or multi week hike. A very sweet pack indeed.
Other than some blood, barf, new black stuff and that kind of thing, we are moving along and still enjoying each day's outing, and today had his THIRD massage ... this canine "body worker" is fantastic...you are more than welcome to our "club" I'm sure everyone would agree....I remember when I was 20 years from the one past the unspeakable one....that pack sounds absolutely terrific....Ruthie's mom just ordered two of the water bottles one for me and one for her!!!!! but the pack with the built in system would be really cool for a longer hike than my boy is up to now....but what amazing things they have for dogs now.

You can't, and don't give away my t-shirt ideas.
Perhaps a forum structure review is due (see breadcrumb links directly atop first post above)...

A planning topic is indeed due, we'll start that post haste in the Tripawds Announcements forum. And we'll consider creating a new free for all forum, or testing the spf sub-forum feature.

Me too! I was just being polite as to not make the older ones feel bad!
Please tell us what is going on with Fortis (in a solo topic, please). Is he having a worse time walking?
Comet is 'ALL IN' on the Vegas good time! Admin (aka Jim) just started a topic for us! WooHOO.
I'm thinking that I'll open an EBay Company…So – if anyone has any great ideas – please feel free to forward them to me. I need to make all the money I can, of course ! The more, the better.
I think that is great plan! I know this person who started out selling on a few items on ebay many years ago as a hobby and turned it into a full fledge business. Here's a New York Times article on her beginning. I hope it will inspire you to push forward! Oh, and if it doesn't work out, you could get on a reality show in the US!
Hmmmmmmm did anyone notice that Miss Mack's mom didn't offer her age?
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
PBT has two open topics that are ongoing one is a "Random Thoughts" and the other is "Things that made me happy today". They are along the same lines - topics where you can comment on just about anything not specific to PBT. They work great for the most part.
