We know that osteosarcomas have a very high rate of ending up in the lungs. When this happens.. is it called osteosarcoma of the lungs?  I ask bec I know that different meds/ herbs help different types of cancers.. so if xxx works well for osteosarcoma.. when the osteo goes to the lungs.. does that same med work. or once in the lungs..  different meds work there.. I think the answer is once the cancer is in the lungs.. the lung cancer is what is principle.. thoughts?

I'm sure there is a clinical name for it but as far as I know, it's simply referred to lung metastasis as a result of osteosarcoma.

I think what you are asking is, can a medication that works for a primary osteosarcoma tumor also work for metastasis?

As far as I know lung mets are treated as lung cancer and not as osteosarcoma. However, some meds are the same, and it always depends on what vet one goes to...

In terms of holistic/herbal remedies I would also lean towards treating mets as lung cancer -but I am no expert here, really.
