Fingers and paws crossed for nothing more than an official $300 massage for Jill. Hang in there, Erica, and remember Happy Hannah's message... BMC! (easy for me to say, right?)
Big hugs to you both!
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
Hi Everyone-
No update yet, but just wanted to say thank you for all the additional well wishes, it is helping. I'm of course obsessing and have no convinced myself the lump has gotten bigger and going through all these what ifs in my head (what if the aspirate didnt hit the lump and we missed something, etc.), because everyone knows I'm crazy....but I'm doing much better this time around than I did after the last lump. I KNOW that's because last time I didn't have this community to help me through this. So thank you....
xoxo,
Erica & Jilly
Here's Jill in her needle aspirate posed....Oh I wish I was an animal, shes so relaxed...

Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. ITS GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!
Must be where the new weight is from, because the cells are fat. No abnormal cells were found in the sample. Of course the Pathologist and Dr Tan emphasized that the lump is very small so the needle couldve missed something so we have to keep an eye on it, which you know I will
Thank you again so much everyone. I can't tell you how much I needed all your support and felt it the last couple of days!!! Here's the whole report:
Cytologic findings are consistent with aspiration of cytologically
unremarkable subcutaneous fat or possibly, a lipoma. It is difficult
to distinguish these two entities based on cytologic appearance alone,
since lipomas are benign connective tissue tumors composed of
histologically normal adipocytes. No inflammatory cells or features of
malignancy are evident in this sample. Alternatively, it is possible
that the sample reflects aspiration of adipose tissue overlying or
contiguous with the targeted lesion, and therefore the sample may not
be entirely representative, especially if the previous sarcoma was
removed from the same location. Repeat aspiration and/or biopsy for
histopathologic evaluation may be advisable for further
characterization, especially if the cytologic findings do not
correlate with your clinical impression or if the mass increases in
size, changes in shape or character, or impedes normal function.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!

Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
WHEW!!!!! Unremarkable is one of the prettiest words in the English language.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
WHOOOOOOHOOOO! Here's to big fat kitties!!! This is FABULOUS!!!!!
