She's doing so well!  I feel she pretty much sailed through her recovery so far.  All systems are functioning at full speed :)

She's been on the metronomic protocol for 10 days with no visible adverse effects.  She still tires easily when out for a walk in the park, but she can climb a big hill with little effort.  I'm positive I'm more nervous about it than she is, especially during the trip back down that hill.

Pretty much, the only thing she is NOT doing that she did before the amp, is getting up on the couch.  She did it once or twice shortly after surgery, didn't stay long and hasn't tried it again.

I never thought I'd be so happy to have her barking at my sweeper again.  She insists on throwing her ball down right in front of the sweeper.  She will also do that to hubby when he mows the lawn.

I honestly don't think I could have handled all this without the support and encouragement of the Tripawd family.   Thank you all for that.

This picture is her internal clock telling her daddy (the love her life) should be home from work any minute..........

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Ms. Libs says "Thank you!"  She's wearing the Winter Warrior badge with pride.

I'm beginning to wonder if that hair is ever going to grow back.  It's almost all grown back on the leg, but the other area is still pretty bald.  She needs a dog wig, lol.

Libby!  You are precious and poised!  I love it!  Great update, too.  Keep it up, Ms Warrior.  You are looking GOOOOOOD!

ps: Jackson's fur is taking forever to grow in.  I hear with a double coat, it won't be like until next winter when his top coat is there.  I guess we can add "Patches" to his loooong list of nicknames.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Thanks, Katy!  Yikes about the fur regrowth!  It's coming in nicely on her leg, though.  "Patches"..ha, exactly!
