I'm a day late in sharing Libby's 7 month ampuversary. Thanks to a dear member for giving me the nudge
A short recap of Libby for those who aren't familiar....Limp that wouldn't go away in January 2013...osteosarcoma suspected...amp 1-31-13...biopsy post amp confirmed osteo. Started her on metronomics and supplements a few weeks after surgery. It's helpful to me reading what supplements others are giving their furbabies so I will list Libby's...metronomic therapy (cytoxan and rimadyl), MUSH (super combo of mushrooms), BSST (herbal formula to boost immune system), fish oil, milk thistle and probiotics.
At 10 years old she is still going pretty strong. We can't take the extended walks we used to but she still loves it and wants to do it every day. She continues to swim but not as much. She especially likes to cool off in the pool after a walk. She'll stand on the pool steps half way up her sides and I say she looks like a monkey in a hot spring.
Her appetite is ferocious. She loves her half cooked half kibble diet and runs to the food dish. She's still hubby's soul mate...always has been always will. She's just the best.
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Hoppy Ampuversary Libby. Keep kicking but girl. You are an awesome inspiration

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Yay, Libby! Keep me In Mind next time you need someone to go swimming with you. We culd look like twins in our pretty yellow float Coats
Love, Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Happy 7 month ampuversary to Libby
Keep kicking cancer's butt!! Have a wonderful day full of treats, scratchies, and more treats!
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Murphy, you can come swimming any time!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects.
