Lexie is a couple weeks into her journey as a cancer warrior. She's been on Cytoxan oral chemo for a week (no major side effects; just a bit of an upset tummy for one day) with another week or so to go. She's also done two short-course consecutive palliative radiation treatments; three more beginning Monday.
The tumor on her leg had gotten much worse, so she's completely bandaged. She was a little vocal/whiny the first two days during her radiation treatment (they also removed tissue for the full biopsy on treatment day one), but she's doing much better now.
This morning when I let Lexie and her brother Milo out in the back yard, Milo spotted a squirrel in the corner of the yard and ran after it...and Lexie ran after Milo and the squirrel! She also attempted to dance around when we opened a new can of chicken; so good to see her like that!
*Sorry, had to run out...pics to come.
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
Not having good luck with photos tonight...

Deb did you see this post about adding images to your forum topic? What's going on when you try?

Hmmm... I did look at that thread, Jerry, and followed instructions, but not sure what's happening. I do social media for a living so usually I can figure my way through these things.
Wouldn't work from Pinterest or Flickr urls; tried embedding the HTML, too. Maybe a weird API issue?

Not quite as fun as seeing embedded images, but here are links to Lexie's photo sites
Don't need to be a member of the sites to view, btw...
Lexie and Milo photos on Flickr
Mostly Lexie photos on Pinterest
The one of her on the dock was from about 6 months ago. I'll need to add a Pinterest board for kicking cancer's butt (we hope!) photos.

Lexie you are gorgeous!!
I hadn't been able to get any photos to upload from social media either, so I just upload them to my blog and then share.

Oooh what do you do for social media? Neat!
Elizabeth is doing it the easiest way, by pasting the photo URLs from her blog.
But I was just able to paste a photo URL from Pinterest and I know you can do it from Photobucket, Facebook, etc. like this:
- Open the photo
- Right click "copy image URL"
- Return to Forums
- Click on the "tree" icon in your forum post editing toolbar
- Paste the URL into the pop-up box
- The photo should then appaer
I'm wondering if you're trying to add images from a mobile device? If so, that's why you're having issues. When viewing photos on a mobile or tablet, the forum post text/image editing options don't appear, you can only paste the URL link into the forum post on a line by itself, and only the link will appear. We're working on installing a new mobile compatible version for the Forums but until then that's the way to past image URLs from a mobile.
Hope that helps.

Sorry I haven't done a good job of keeping Lexie's updates together (will get around to a blog one of these days).
Here are a couple of related threads:
Latest: Post-radiation and oral chemo update; reconsidering amputation
Earlier: Wound care for leg tumor
And just in the FWIW category, Yunnan Baiyo is worth asking your vet about if you're dealing with a tumor (not all vets have heard about it). Can be used orally on a regular basis, and even topically.
