Great to see him so happy and hoppy!

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

GREAT:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) JUST GREAT:-) :-) :-) :-) so glad Atlas is doing. GREAT:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

the video says everything about how GREAT he's feeling and that hearty bark is definitely telling you to cut off the camera!!

Have you gotten anything settled with the oncologist about ow YOU want Atlas's next treatment to be handled in Atlas's best interest???

Atlas is ready to box 'em if they don't treat him right:-) :-)

Atlas- Those pictures show what a tough guy you are (but with a great big heart)! You are way handsome. Keep on punching cancer as hard as you can.

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.

Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

Thanks everybody! We love the good days! And it's true....Atlas is ALL HEART!
Karen, I LOVE pugs and that was a great visual imagining Obie launching off the sofa barking at Atlas's bark! We get a similar response around here when a dog barks on tv or a doorbell rings on the tv.
Erica, be careful what you ask for......NY is one of our favorite places! I could never get enough of the Met! And Atlas LOVES kitty cats, he has his very own kitty pet. Bella beep beep was rescued from a dumpster behind McDonalds when she was about 6-8 months. When we first took her home, she hid under the bed, pretty ferrel, but every time she saw Atlas's big feet come in she would run out from the bed and stick to him like glue. We were in complete shock. she either knows he's an angel or had a big dog buddy out in the dumpster world? But He was instrumental in taming her and helping her settle into her new safer life and to this day (4 yrs) later they are still best buddies.
Amanda, glad to hear from you, hope your move went smoothly. I thought of Porthos today when we took Atlas outside to his big grassy yard, he was rolling and delighting in the grass and beautiful day. Made me think of Porthos video where he was doing the same.

It is a gorgeous day in Georgia today, sunny and 75 degrees with a slight breeze. We live on 10 acres and the Danes have their own 3-4 acre pasture. Prior to diagnosis, the Danes would go to their pasture a couple times a day to run and play. Never out for too long as they don't handle heat or cold temps well, but always long enough to get those Dane sprint exercises. Well, Atlas has not been out to his pasture for 5 weeks as we have obviously been in recovery mode. He looked quite bored with his new little side yard today (even though mom & dad got rid of the gravel and put in sod grass to make me happy) so we ventured out to the big yard and boy was he HOPPY! The whole family had a nice picnic outside.
I was not going to post this as I couldn't look any grungier, but hoping you guys, like me, are only watching ATlas. And it's good to have it documented for the next large dog with wobblers with pawrents facing tough decisions. You can clearly see where the wobblers effects his back leg movement. If it weren't for that stupid disease, Atlas would be acing this tripawd thing like no body's business! But he is happy and no longer in pain and being so resilient as they are, he has just developed this kind of bunny hop that gets him where he needs to go. Mighty Atlas in deed! God I love this boy!

Loved watching the video --what a handsome boy!! Keep kicking cancer's butt, Atlassmiley  Lily and Remmy loved the bark, but couldn't figure out where the dog was that was attached to it:) So good to see Atlas looking so lively; Lily always needed a few days of rest after chemo-then back to herself.

Take care.

Joan and Lily

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

We make sure to give Sophie individual attention and let her wear the harness to feel special too. Typical girl, she loves clothes and was very upset she didn't have a harness, so we fixed that!

Sally, forgot to answer you. We took Jim's advice and wrote to the hospital administrator. When we left the hospital last time, they gave us one of those customer survey forms to fill out. I took advantage of the process and went ahead and attached my letter when submitting the form. Interested to see what kind of response we get. You know I'll be on here first thing to tell you all!

Atlas looks GLORIOUS! What a handsome, happy dawg!!!!

Don't worry about us looking at you, it's Atlas and Sophie we want to see! ;)

I'm curious to see what the administrator says. Good for you for taking action the way you did. Keep us posted.
