Does anyone know how quickly k9 Immunity starts to work? The oncologist said they use it  but never suggested starting it or anything. I wish more Drs were into nutrition, same as human drs.

And has anyone using it noticed any side-effects?

I would love some input too on this one...I have been thinking about using it. I currently have Zeus on fish oil and echinacea for his immune system.

Thanks for starting this Micki Z.

I've been on K9 Immunity as part of my metronomic protocol therapy for about three months now. My people started me on this regimen when we noticed my lung metastasis.

I have no side effects whatsoever – aside from getting peanut butter on the roof of my mouth. That's the only way I'll eat the transfer factor that goes with it. (I get the K9 TF wafer in the morning and, the Immunity pills in my dinner at night.)

After two months I had x-rays taken that showed about a 10% reduction in tumor size. Now, I was also getting the low dose oral Cytoxan chemo every other day during this same time. So like the doctor said when we got my followup x-ray results and asked "What caused the good results?" ... Who knows. it was most likely all of the above – a combination of the chemo and K9 Immunity treatment.

You can read more about my K9 Immunity clinical trial in my blog, and all about the benefits of this organic mushroom supplement from Aloha Medicinals. They also have a canine canine hotline – (775) 882-5959 – that can be reached from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.

to clarify my previous post re: nutrition, I think both vets and human drs. don't study nor realize the importance of good nutrition. and one other thing, the oncologist knows about K9 Immunity but not K9 transfer factors...dont' you think that weird?

I'm also concerned...I can't find any incidences of pugs with bone cancer. I know it's rare, but I don't think the onoc. has ever treated bone cancer in a small dog..she says shes treated plenty of small dogs with cancer, but actually went to look up anything new that had come up re: pugs and bone cancer. She says the treatment would be the same, goes by body weight, and actually with the Adria, they calculate the Body Surface Area and somehow throw in the weight factor.

But the weird thing is, she seems to have put together a protocol and the final bone analysis hasn't come back yet! Buster is due to start chemo on Thurs, so now I have another page of questions for her.

I'm very intimidated by drs. I'm a detailed person and so are my questions. If I question their methods they think I'm questioning them. I'm so sick and tired of drs and vets that I have to take care of (their egos)..it seems rampant. Am I the only one who feels this?!  I'm not skilled at diplomacy, am frank and direct. Their reactions to this shut me down, and even with a list of questions I blank out. so I've resorted to using a tape recorder with their permission and get defensive reactions from this, as maybe they feel threatened that they could be sued or something. So I just say I have memory "issues."

Anyway, I sure don't want to start the chemo without my answers  and the labs back. Another thing I don't like about vet practices here, is that I can't go back while they're being treated at all, for anything, they give the usual response of "oh, your pet will get upset with you around" which I think is just the opposite, it should be reassuring as I know how to comfort my dog. They claim my "anxiety" will disturb the dog. But I sure would like a chance to see the back, how clean it is, etc etc. And just how they treat them...wouldn't you?

Genie was on K-9 Immunity during her final two months.

She had the surgery on Oct 3, 2007.  I opted not to go for chemotherapy.  I thought about starting her on K-9 Immunity at that time, but there had been a whole wave of decisions I had to make back then, so... I had been putting off ordering it, since it was such a hassle to make purchase across the border.  Instead, I gave her mega doses of a full range of antioxidants.

It was about this early March that I realized it was available to order from Canada.  So I started Genie on both K-9 Immunity and Transfer Factor on Mar 26.

I guess by then it was too late, cause the nasty beast was already secretly gathering all the troops for a coup.

Would she have been still here had I started her on the products sooner?

Could she have been gone even sooner had I not given her K-9 products at all?

I don't know.  Not that it matters now.

But if I could make the decision again, I would start her on K-9 Immunity as soon as her OS diag came out.  Not that I would be sure that the products would give positive result, it is just that I would not want to deal with the above "would have" and "could have".  Now I am feeling I did not try my best.

Try not to be too hard on yourself...we would all feel that way no matter what happened anyway huh? Regret is painful. Your pup wouldn't want that.

Ok, I bought the K9 Immunity and K9 Transfer Protocols. I hesitate to start them only because I'm not supposed to change anything during chemo according to the oncologist (but maybe she just meant food). But that doesn't start til Thursday so I'll give it a shot.

The holistic vet I'm going to isn't in til Wednesday and we haven't started a regime yet, so I'm jumping the gun, hoping it's the right thing. Anything to give him a fighting chance.

We aren't vets or oncologists, but I do know that my oncologist put me on K9 when I started my metronomic therapy and low dose of Cytoxan every other day. She didn't have a problem with it.

Hi everyone.  Gracie was diagnosed with OS on Aug.16. She had her leg amputated on Aug. 20th & did her first round of chemo Sept. 5th. I ordered k9 Immunity & started Gracie on it the day it came to the door (Aug 28).  10 days after the 1st round of chemo she had blood work. Her test showed that her white blood count was in normal range.  Gracie has had her 2nd round of chemo & will go back in for blood work this week.  We are also going to request more chest x-rays at this time. We had her chest x-ray-ed when she was first diagnosed. Thankfully there were no masses. The Dr. did tell us that the cells are likely there, but too small to show on x-rays.  I feel that the k9 Immunity has given Gracie the extra strength to her immune system to help her body both heal & fight this.  I would not do anything differently. Gracie is back to her normal self (minus a leg). It does not seem to effect her at all. In addition to Gracie's treatment she gets organic cottage cheese & organic flax oil. We also changed her diet. Gracie no longer gets her usual kibble. I now cook for her 2 meals a day (organic chicken & veggies or venison & veggies). I took her off all grains & switched her to wellness core (no grain kibble). So far so good & we continue to count our blessings.

I know that every dog is different & responds to different treatments but....I would recommend K9 Immunity
