Hi everyone, had a quick question.  We started Max on K9 Immunity and Transfer Factor last night.  He's 70 lbs, so he takes several pills, which I split up between his breakfast and dinner meals.  He had diarrhea several hours after dinner.  I'm not sure if the new supplements caused it, or something random.  My question is:  should I build him up to the proper dosage over the next few days instead of giving him his full dose immediately?  Just wondering if anyone else using the supplements had a similar experience.

Thanks,  Di

I don't recall Jerry ever having bowel issues on the K9 Immunity and we just mixed the 7 whole pills right in wih his food. Hopefully this is temporary. A few spoons of canned plain pumkin should help firm things up.

We gave Willy the full dosage from the first day (4 pills in the morning and 4 in the evening, cutting the transfer factor in half), and he didn't have any diarrhea. His stool did soften just a bit at first, but it stablized. So I hope that this is temporary.--Ann

Willy--diagnosed with osteosarcoma January 5, 2009 (amputation January 27, 2009) left us just after his 11th birthday on December 2, 2009 to join all the other brave tripawds. We'll always love you!

LaughThank you all for your comments.  Maybe it was something random then.  I skipped Max's dosage today.  I'm going to call Aloha Medicines tomorrow and ask, just to make sure.  Otherwise, I'll start him back up.  Thanks again, it is appreciated.Smile

Aloha has a helpful Dog Cancer Hotline (775-882-5959) for those with questions about K9 Immunity or canine cancer in general.
