Ahhh, thanks guys.  We think he's a pretty handsome, cute guy, too!  Sure, use his pictures!  Like any adoring mom, I've got loads of pics and will post more as we go along (look for ones sporting the Tripawds bandana soon!).

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Cool! I was going to use this one but it's really small. Send us the original and we'll get it in there:

He's so adorable! He looks like a happy boy! So glad to hear he's getting to be like his old self again.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

We had a really good night!  I tried out some exercises with Jackson today and helped stretch out his back leg.  Dinner was topped off with some liver, beets, and broccoli!  He loves them all.  He even wanted to play a little fetch with a new toy and a good 'ol wrestle with mom.  We're pretty happy around here!  Here's our handsome pup:

Jackson is one good looking dog!  That last photo kind of looks like a GQ cover shot!  Glad to hear he's doing so well!

Jackson, you look like you mean business when it comes to guarding that couch of yours!

You sweetie, what a lucky dawg you are to have a mom who cares so much about you. What a great partnership you've got there.

Oh tell your Momma don't freak out when you go potty. Those beets really make for colorful poo!

I wish I could reach through this computer and give Jackson a big hug.  He is the cutest doggie.  He looks so happy in those pics.  I am so glad to see that he is doing well and adjusting so quickly.  May the rest of his recovery go as smoothly as it has been.

Obviously I have at thing for black dogs... I love his white accents, and the ears!

Keep on healing up Jackson, and mom- do let us know how, um, the beets come out!

He's such a handsome guy and it was great to read the progress he has made. My little foster baby (soon to be mine hopefully) is about a week behind him.

I also hope he kicks some cancer booty.
