Did you get a chance to have the Vet take a look at Willow today?

Sometimes incision sites actually end of having a "drain" put in.    I know it's "disturbing" to keep seeing the draining.  It does happen sometimes after surgery.and it also does eventuw stop!!  Others will jave to share their experiences, but it can go on for several days at least.  I still would jave a Vet look at it.

Extra hugs!

Each animal is different. Some drain for several days while others do not, and other get a seroma because it didn't drain (that's what happened to our Jerry). So drainage is good as long as it's not smelly or green. Let your vet know that you are concerned, that way they can take a look at it.

Hi.....drainage seems to have slowed down considerably. Anxiously waiting for next week so these stitches can come out. I think that's when I will breathe a huge sigh of relief!! She has a pretty good appetite (for ground hamburger😊)!

And we finally peed!! Yay Willow! But I think she has overdone it for the day. She is definitely doing a lot better today than she was when I first posted. I think I'm still in over my head, though. Going back to work for two days. I'll be worried, can't lie about that. Thanks for all the advice and words of encouragement.

Hi everyone. Update on Willow....went to the vet yesterday for a laser treatment. Everything looks good! She is getting around pretty good now. One week home and all is good, considering. Thanks for all your words of encouragement. Today, I'm not so overwhelmed!

Whew! That is terrific news. Laser therapy is great for incision healing, I love that she was able to enjoy it.

Relax and breathe, you've earned it!

Update! Willow got her stitches out yesterday. And she finally got a much needed shower. She will have one more laser treatment in two days. She is quickly getting back to her normal self and figuring out life on three legs.i cannot thank everyone enough for your encouragement and kind words. It helped me immensely these last two weeks.
